About this vehicle This 2006 BMW 550i is a modified vehicle with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. For sale is a 2006 BMW 550i with the 4.8 N62 Engine. Once the issues are taken care of you have an incredibly reliable, practical and fun car that will last you years if taken care of. When dyno'd at BPC it came out to 290WHP. I bought this in June and have loved driving it since. It had 99k (now 110k) and have never had any major issues since. This was a California>Texas>NC car and has NO rust. Really taken care of. I still have all manuals and the window sticker. Equipped is a true 6 speed manual transmission. At 100k I had the trans fluid changed with redline fluid @ BPC in Raleigh. Spark plugs and coils are under 10k miles old. Thermostat was replaced with a 90C low temp thermostat at 103k. Water pump was replaced less than 2k miles ago. Always used Castrol euro blend for oil changes and genuine coolant. Since I bought it I had the muffler and resonator deleted, cats still on the car. Really sounds like a beast on the road and does a great job at turning heads. I don't recommend buying this car for your 16 year old. He/She WILL put it into a ditch. The front bumper has some rock chips. Not particularly noticeable from a distance but I prioritized mechanical health over cosmetics. The rear bumper has a scuff, most likely from a parking lot accident. Valve stem seals and alternator bracket gasket needs to be replaced. I can sell you either the valve stem seal tool or the timing kit for a discounted price. Hoping to sell this to upgrade to a newer 550/M5. Not very motivated to sell and am relatively firm on the price. Exterior Interior Interior seats were swapped with Beige sport style seats from an 07 530i. Download the Motors app
