An exceedingly well equipped 2004 MINI Cooper S coupe with the exclusive John Cooper Works" package. Purchased at the Rick Hendrick"s MINI of Charleston, S. C. on 12/23/2004 by the present owner for his wife. The MINI came equipped with the "John Cooper Works" performance package with includes an upgrade from the standard "S" package of 168 HP to an amazing 200 HP. In doing so, the "Works Package includes an upgraded head and supercharger, "Works" free flow and tuned exhaust, "Works front and rear valance and side skirts and serial number. Also included is the sports package, the MINI premium BBS style 17" wheels and the factory rally stripes.
A 5 speed Getrag gearbox, four wheel disc brakes and incredible handling make this MINI worth a trip anywhere! INDI blue and a white roof are the exterior colors and the interior has black and charcoal seating and panels. One of the cool things about the MINI is it was designed with performance in mind and one of the standard features is the tachometer is straight ahead of the driver and visible directly through the steering wheel. Quite an economical car even with the performance capabilities and more than comfortable on long trips, as well as a short burst to the grocery.
The dual pane and operable sun roof allows for a wonderful breeze, but not to be blown away by it and gives a panoramic view of the evening sky. The tires are Yokohama run flat radials and the fronts have around 70% use and the rears at around 50% use remaining. Mechanically, the car runs very well, no issues with any of the mechanicals and has always been maintained. There has been no wrecks and no rust. There is a small crease on the roof above the drivers door. It is about 1 1/2"long and 3/16" deep, there is a small door ding and a scratch on the drivers side rear quarter panel and a light scratch on the drivers front fender. There are some stone chips and a small amount of paint chipped off on the front valance and several scratches on the top of the rear bumper. Otherwise the paint is if in fine condition and it is original to this car. There are photos showing these areas. There are two spots on the drivers seat and a spot on the back side of the right rear seat, otherwise, the interior is in good condition. The drivers window not longer goes down, however, I have a brand new, in the box factory MINI window regulator that will go with the car. Lastly, the drivers door must be unlocked with the key, rather than electronically. All of the original books, window sticker and buyers agreement, as well as other pertaining documents are with the car.
You can not imagine how fun this car is until you drive it and how practical and economical it is until you have one. My wife has thoroughly enjoyed the MINI and now has a newer one to continue the MINI experience. There is a very reasonable reserve on the MINI!
