I am trying to thin the herd and sell off 4 cars total from my two homes. I recently sold my business in LA and I am now in Las Vegas full time and there is no street parking allowed where I live. I am reluctant to sell this Jag but the BMW cars I have posted are not moving as quickly as I had expected. So up for sale is my 2004 Jaguar XJ-R sedan in immaculate condition. I had a far more valuable 2008 model which I sold at full asking price because it was a very easy car to sell. I am hoping this car has the same sort of demand, especially in this condition and at this price.
The XJR has a few notable differences that set it apart from the regular sedan or even the VDP. Obviously the supercharger sitting atop the motor cranking out 390 horses is the first thing that comes to mind. With a 0-60 of around four and a half seconds or so, on a full size sedan, it is an impressive car to drive. The racing chairs with the enhanced bolsters and “R” logos are gorgeous. The back seats and all door panels are immaculate. The mesh grill, sport suspension, 19” wheels, HUGE brake calipers with “R” logos all over them, “R” logo shift knob, and so many other little accents make this a far cry from your mother’s Jag. Even the rear wheels have dual sets of brake calipers for incredible stopping power. And with an all-aluminum unibody frame it is super stiff, silent, and nimble. And best of all, since aluminum cannot be repaired, you know that when you see a car this clean it must be ALL original.
At just over 90k miles the car received a full service and is not due for another oil change until 95k. It received front lower control arms and bushings, 4-wheel laser guided alignment, a synthetic oil and filter service, a Jaguar (pink) coolant flush and a few other items (filters). It has always been meticulously maintained and garaged and it has no known issues. The car tracks true and straight with no pulling, no shimmy, and no free play at any speed or in any driving condition. Everything works including all door locks and windows, BOTH keyless remotes (one is still brand new), AC and heat, touch screen navigation/control unit, power seats, sunroof, etc. CD Changer and DVD player are mounted in the trunk along with the original matching full size spare and factory took kit.
The photos were taken at the detail shop since it began raining (flash flood) just as the detailer finished his work. He clay barred the entire car. Then compound and buffed the paint, and finally lay down a thick layer of wax to protect the gorgeous paint. I didn’t have anything done on the inside except a basic vacuum as you can tell because I really dislike the greasy shiny chemicals they put on the dash and leather. So due to the weather and the lighting conditions, I GUARANTEE the interior to be in BETTER condition than the photographs. The glass is all perfect - no chips or cracks. The wood is also perfect - ZERO fading or discoloration and of course, no cracks of any kind. The leather is in exceptional condition given the age of the car, so I believe the windows have always been tinted and the car always garaged.
The car is located here in Las Vegas zip 89148. A $1000 deposit paid via cashiers check or bank to bank wire transfer is required to secure the vehicle if you do not wish to pay the entire amount upfront. The remaining balance is due within 3 calendar days from auction close and the car is to be picked up within 2 weeks from auction close. If you live in LA and pre-pay I will be happy to drive the car to Beverly Hills and you can pick it up from my house. The title is clean, clear and in hand, ready for transfer. I am a private seller and thus cannot offer any warranty so this vehicle is being sold in as-is condition with no warranty written expressed or implied.
