Vehicle description
The Purple Prius Eater has been my rock solid reliable daily driver for over 10 years. Never once left me stranded. Drives and rides better than factory. Meticulously maintained by myself not Jiffy Lube, 22 year diesel truck / equipment mechanic, ASE Master Certified. Does have cosmetic flaws in the paint and interior. Such as dings, chips, scratches, clear coat aging. Driver seat cushion replaced 5 years ago but cover worn on outside edge and all seats have minor cigarette burns repaired by previous owner. A few lights in the HVAC and steering wheel controls don"t work.
Recent repairs performed within past 6 months:
-All 6 shocks rebuilt by local offroad shop"s tech, set reservoir Nitrogen @120 psi.
-Replaced/upgraded AMP Research steps control module.
-Changed alternator with NAPA Auto Parts 145 amps.
-Rebuilt fuel filter housing/primer pump and changed fuel hoses,
has a 3/8" spacer for easier filter change.
-Replaced driver front, door latch/power lock module assembly.
-Changed both plastic heater core connectors, changed coolant.
Many modifications have been done to increase efficiency, power and maintain reliability.
*Fuel Injectors replaced under extended factory warranty program in 2010.
*Currently needs two fuel injectors changed; #7 nozzle leaks, #1 injector under fueling.
Aftermarket parts/accessories currently installed:
-Royal Purple Syn oil used in engine, transmission, transfer case, front axle.
Redline Syn oil in rear axle.
-PPE Economy Xcelerator programmer, upto 120HP and 200TQ on level 3.
-Banks Monster stainless steel 4" turbo back exhaust with 5" rolled tip.
-K&N drop in replacement air filter.
-Underground Diesel Performance fuel filter adapter for CAT 1R-0750 2 micron high efficient filter, I use Donaldson P553203 instead because it has a water seperator drain.
-PPE aluminum finned deep extra capacity transmisson pan.
-PPE aluminum finned transmisson PTO covers, one on each side.
-Magtec aluminum finned extra capacity rear differential cover.
-2007 Sierra new body style front & rear axles, factory diffs and gears 3.73s, have approx 112,000 miles on them currently.
-8" CST lift (drop system not spindles) tubular upper A-arms, Projoint rebuildable upper ball joints, Autotrack CV front driveline, front dual shock loops, aluminum front skid plate.
-6 FOX chrome remote reservoir shocks, 4 front 2 rear.
-8" arch easy ride rear leaf spring, NO BLOCKS.
-Sulastic rear spring torsional shackles, reduces vibration & harmonic bounce and more.
-Fabtech FTS71002 Heavy Duty Inner/Outer Tie Rods , NOT SLEEVES.
-RCD Flex Joint billet aluminum sway bar links, for better articulation.
-18" KMC XD Series chrome XD795 Hoss wheels.
-AMP Research Powerstep running boards.
