You are bidding on a beautiful black and elegant 2003 Jaguar XJ8 sedan. This is not the long wheelbase version.
She has an original 72,000 miles.
I am a car fanatic - see Facebook.com/theburtcollection for my blog. You"ll enjoy it. I"ll buy a $10,000 car and spend $20,000 making it perfect. I like older cars, and make sure that, if I am driving it, she"ll be near perfect.
When I say "minty" I mean it. We"ve refreshed the interior with new dye. Don"t worry though, she still smells like wonderful English leather. The wood in Jaguars is particularly impressive, Please refer to the wood on the passenger door, as there are two cracks present. However, they look like they belong there. The other doors, dash and console wood is in exemplary shape. The back seat is as new. The passenger seat has virtually no wear. The driver"s seat had some usual creases and cracking which the dye covered nicely. Professionally done by us.
We fixed some paint bubbling behind the rear wheels, common on Jags. There was some minor clear coat peeling, again, we professionally fixed these areas.
All of the windows work perfectly. The radio, cd and tape player work very well and the sound is quite impressive.
This Jaguar has all of the bells and whistles, including a sunroof, which works flawlessly. The power seats, cruise control, power mirrors, rear reading lights, etc, all work as they should. The climate control system works as designed and the A/C blows very cold.
This Jaguar is equipped with parking sensors, front and rear and they too work as designed.
The tires are 80% new. The rims are near flawless (again, refer to the photos) and the brakes work perfectly.
The trunk is very clean, free of any staining and the 6 disc CD player works perfectly.
Smooth is the best way to describe the driving experience. Extremely smooth. She is powerful too, with 300 horsepower available from her 4.0 liter V8 engine. There is no vibration, no odd noises, and the battery is fairly new. There is an airbag light on, which does not affect the performance of the car in any way, but I don"t know why it"s on? Nothing major, I"m sure (might be a parking sensor is bad?)
We did replace the alternator and changed (as a matter of routine maintenance) the valve cover gaskets - one was dripping a small amount of oil intermittently. Again, new ones were applied.
The exhaust system is quiet, no apparent leaks.
The carpeting is fade and wear free. There are floor mats present with average wear above the carpeting.
Please note that this car is not new, so there may be minor imperfections. I"ve described the condition as best as possible - but please refer to the pictures in detail. If you require additional pictures, please email and we"ll post new ones. Due to her age, she is being sold as-is, where is.
I"d be comfortable driving this car across the country. She delivers 20mpg when driven modestly. I put several thousand miles on it myself. For the money, there is no more impressive or luxurious sedan available in the market. You"ll love it and be the envy of your neighbors.
