2003 Ford Excursion XLT 4WD V-10 9-Passenger * *NO RESERVE* *NO RESERVE* * LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY $500.00 Deposit Due Within 24 of Winning Auction A very nice and well-maintained Excursion with a very smooth running engine and transmission. No squeaks, rattles or leaks. All fluids look like they should. Pesky tailgate switches that are known for keeping the dome light on in Excursions were the first thing we bypassed/disabled (rear dome light can still be activated manually). The other common issue with Excursions is the steering gear. This one is brand new. Heat and air both work fine. Power windows fast and operate well. Aftermarket head lights and tail lights add a sharp appearance. On the road handles true and runs straight. Very smooth and powerful when accelerating. We haven"t towed anything with it other than small lumber loads but you can tell it could uproot a mountain if needed. 4WD works very well. Plenty of room in the rear section behind the 3rd row seats, much more than our Expedition. High ground clearance. Engine compartment very clean. Underside has some regions of surface rust but nothing significant and all of main structural frame is still in very good shape despite spending its time in the northern states. Totally custom hood styling, no others like it. Receives complements all the time, one of which was from a washer delivery driver who wanted to buy it as soon as he saw it. Includes newer key fob and owner"s manual. Oil recently changed and has current PA state inspection and emission stickers. TST aftermarket undercoating. Door bottoms had some minor, localized surface rust so were brushed with powered wire wheel, sealed and coated with fiberglass and topped with black truck bed coating. Rocker panels were also coated despite being in good shape. Middle seat in 2nd row seat belt is missing for some reason but it looks like a new one can be easily installed. Nine passenger seating, although the most we carried in one case was eight due to the missing belt. When driving it full of people its difficult to tell any difference. Very nice vehicle. Handles and steers well. Braking is very good, better than expected considering the size of the vehicle. Comfortable to ride in and has excellent visibility. A very capable head turner that we"re confident will serve its new owner very well for years to come. Tires still have good tread that passed inspection but probably less than 10K miles left on them.
