Vehicle description

We are selling our VW Eurovan camper. The van has had 3 owners, and has been well taken care of, with most of the major work done either by VW van specialists Valley Wagonworks (San Rafael) or Karmakanix (Berkeley).Aside from having a bunch of great extras listed below, it has a brand new engine installed at 177K miles. The new engine has been driven just under 2000 miles and has been flawless. It"s more powerful than the original - it"s a 2004 VW Tuareg engine (3.2 liter 6 cylinder). We"ve also been getting noticeably better mileage with the new engine. It sleeps 4 very comfortably, seats 4 normally, but 6 if you pop in the extra row of seats it comes with. There"s also an extra single seat that could be used instead of the extra row, allowing better access to the fridge and cooking area - doing this would require modification of the floor to place a seat clamp. Fun project I never got to.Some details:2002 Volkswagen Eurovan Camper - new engineVIN WV2EB47062H072923Odometer - 178410Brand new engine @ 176776 miles3.2L 6cyl 6A Tuareg engineJust passed smog testClean titleCarfax report available on requestAdd-ons:- Brand new 12V fridge, which also created space to install a sliding spice tray-style cabined which adds precious storage space.- Brand new ARB awning - it"s priceless when camping in summer. Has built-in LED lights.- Rear hatch for easier access to the tool storage area.- Rooftop cargo bag.- Optional: new suction-mounted SeaSucker roof rack, extra camping table.- Rear parking camera (very useful for a Eurovan since visibility in the back is limited).Despite the love it"s received, it"s still an almost 20-year-old vehicle, so it"s not perfect:- Some small nicks and scratches on the paint- A small bump on the side - see picture. Not fully popped back out, but it can be done with a bit of effort. A few spots are touched up with white paint.- Recurring codes - P1624 and P0740, related to the torque converter, which sometimes come up during long high-speed highway drives. I haven’t noticed that it changes the driving characteristics of the van. The car already had a transmission rebuild under the previous owner.- The "front brake wear" light turns on at times, but the brakes are not worn. Goes away overnight. Seems to be an issue with the light, not the brakes.Let me know if you have any questions you"d like answered, or want to come by and take a look at it.
