Vehicle description
Local mechanic has diagnosed this car with a blown engine/motor and will need replacement in order to run as it used to. Other than this major issue everything else was working great! I debated investing the money to fix the engine but in the last 6 months I have already invested over 3K into usual maintenance such as 4 new tires, new front brakes, new alternator, new upper/lower ball joints, new rear shocks, new steering pump. . I just can"t sink more money into it. Instead we are going to cut our further losses and get a new car. I could have sworn doing all of this preventative repair work was gonna add years to the Jeep - if you can"t tell I"m very sad about my situation. My only options at this point are to junk it or sell the Jeep "as is".
There was no prior warning sign as to why the engine stopped working, one day I went to start the Jeep and it wouldn"t start. The engine was turning but sounded awful. I immediately stopped trying and towed it to my local mechanic. The news he gave was as stated above. I had it towed back to my house to see if anyone wants to repair the engine and continue on with the Jeep. I just can"t send it over the salvage yard, too many other great parts to this car.
