Vehicle description
Cash on pick up only. Sold as is, no warranty, don"t hesitate to offer what you think its worth. the worst thing I can do is say no.
This is a one owner Jeep liberty CRD with a 2.8L Turbo Diesel engine, 2006 model year with 227K miles. Title in hand. The tires are only 15k old, they wear out every 80-100K miles, so they have 60+K more left on them. The battery is an AGM vibration proof high current rating one, replaced last winter. I replace my car batteries after 5-6 years even if they are still good. Never been in a crash, no insurance claims. there is a 6-10" crack in the passenger-side windshield at the bottom, not in the drivers view yet. The car runs and drive fine and has been a great car for me. This car does not have the "black box" in it that records data for the insurance company, all new car have these, but this model year car was before it was required. It has a stainless steel high flow muffler and NO DPF or DEF fluid. and a high flow, but high quality FRAM A34436 air filter. The car gets 28+MPG in the summer and 26mpg in the winter, 500 miles per tank. It has all-wheel-drive, 4x4 and 4x4 lo. The car has a class 3 trailer hitch and a 4-wire trailer connector. It has weather-tech floor mats, a 7" Bluetooth touch screen radio. the original radio is included if you want to put that back in. The AC, heat, defrost power stuff etc etc all works. The car has some rust coming out in the door jambs and near some sheet metal corners but cannot be seen from the exterior yet. The cloth seats are showing wear and the plastic panels inside have been armorall"ed consistently but have scratches from being loaded up at the home store.
The engine has been maintained with all OES parts for the timing belt changes at 100,000 exactly. New water pump and idler pullies every time. The timing belt kit costs ~$500. I have done two timing belts on it and it will not need another for 75,000 more miles. the oil change lasts 12k, always rotella 5-40 pure synthetic and Fram toughgaurd TG-8A filters. The engine has been modified to keep the intake from plugging from EGR soot, which causes the CEL to turn on, but it"s not a big deal. *Full disclosure* The car recently has been having issues with not starting. To fix this issue I installed a dodge ram 3500 diesel lift pump in the tank, and installed an all-metal fuel filter head with a CAT 1R-0750 2-micron fuel filter, put on some new rubber lines too. The issue seems to be resolved but it might come back because it could have been an issue with the engine wiring connectors or some people say that the crankshaft sensor can cause this, sometimes wiggling the fuel pressure sensor wiring plug will cause it to start if its acting up. I still daily drive it. Also the emergency brake has and issue and does not function. i have a complete kit to fix it included with the car. The gear oil in the axles, ATF for the transmission and transfer case has been changed out every 60K. it has an engine, transmission and transfer case skid plate. I installed an EVIC data console in the space between the front seat visors, it reads out avg MPG, trip info and other data.
