Up for sale is my family"s 2001 Toyota 4Runner in good running condition. Engine runs quietly and oil has consistently been changed every 3 to 4K miles. Passenger side of the vehicle has been partially repainted, unprofessionally, with Duplicolor automotive spray paint due to a latex paint can exploding in our garage. The car is not driven during the spring or summer and unfortunately, the paint can must have popped and splattered the side of the car, which cured over time and had to be scrapped and sanded off. My father sprayed it with the duplicolor and honestly it"s a close match as it’s not really apparent in the pictures, but can be seen close up. Expect to see a matte finish in those areas with scrape marks underneath the spray paint. I highlighted the areas impacted in yellow highlighting in the last picture listed in this auction. Only body rust to note is on the lower portion of the rear bumper, as pictured. Car was also hit in rear bumper years ago, but the damage was so minor we never bothered replacing the bumper, just two minor dents from other person"s front bumper. .incident doesn"t even show on the autocheck report in listing.
Clean NJ title in hand, in my sister"s name, and will also come with bill of sale, if needed. Approximately 149k miles, miles may go up slightly as the car is still registered. Winning bidder must pay deposit via paypal with balance due in cash or cashier"s check. No money orders or other forms of payment will be accepted, period. We"d prefer a in-person transaction, but if you accept the vehicle in as-in condition without inspecting, we can assist with working with a shipper chosen by and paid for by buyer. We will not arrange or pay for shipping. Again, the vehicle is being sold in as-is condition.
Car has diff locker, the timing belt was changed at approx. 100K miles. Dad is a smoker, but again the car was only used approximately 3-4 months a year, that said you may want to shampoo the interior. No pets ever in the car. Underside has rust present as the car is from the northeast, but structurally safe and solid. Rear diff shows the most rust as the car was used to drop a boat 3 blocks away from his house at a local marina. The frame shows signs of rust forming, but is structurally sound and has passed NY and NJ safety inspections with no issues ever brought to our attention. Never any long distance towing, other than towing boat to local Marina. Diffs and transmission serviced as recommended by local Toyota dealerships. My dad did not however retain records of services and the starting bid is priced accordingly.
