Up for sale is my 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. This is a rare one year only color (Solar Yellow). The Jeep also has only 90k original miles, very hard to find. It has been a Florida Jeep all of its life and was bought new in Daytona Beach. It is a very desirable jeep in many ways.
The body of the Cherokee is very straight with only minor dings and paint chips. The paint shines up very nicely and definitely gets attention. It has some sun fade on the roof, fender flares, and hood area. The factory side trim has been removed but does come with the Jeep. Very minor rust around the drip rail/door area but overall very solid. The black out vinyl decals on the hood are removable, but they do cover some “sun fade” and look great. The front and rear bumper trim has been recently painted and looks great. The rear bumper is a shade darker than the rest of the jeep. The jeep had a pin stripe at one time but has also been removed for the cleaner look. This jeep turns heads everywhere it goes.
The XJ started life out as a factory rear wheel drive and has been converted to 4x4. It has the AW4 transmission mated to a NP231 transfer case with a DANA 30 front axle and DANA 35 rear axle(3:55 gears). It runs and drives good and makes plenty of power. The engine starts right up every time and has just been serviced. It has great oil pressure and stays nice and cool.
The suspension is a 4.5” Rough Country lift with coils up front and full leaf packs in the rear. It also has RCX adjustable upper and lower control arms in the front with adjustable trac bar, extended sway bar links and a 1” transfer case drop. Extra goodies include extended brake lines, Boostwerks Engineering adjustable t-case shifter and brand new cross drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads. It rides good but keep in mind it is a lifted vehicle with large tires. It could possibly use new shocks in the near future. The wheels are black Mb wheels TKO 16x8 wrapped in 285/75/16 Falken mountain country tires with good tread, 2 that were in the front have some inside wear and have been moved to the rear. The underside of the jeep is very nice and clean with very minor leaks such as the rear main seal drips a little like most 4.0"s.
Inside is very clean and all original except for the cd player and rear window tint. It has factory original tilt wheel, cruise control, power windows, power door locks. All of the windows, door locks, and cruise work. The ac is nice and cold also. The window tint on the rear is not original and has some ripple spots and nicks here and there. Overall it is a very clean unmolested interior.
The 4.0 starts right up every time and makes great power. It has only 90k original miles and is sure to last many more miles. It is very hard to find a Jeep Cherokee with low miles since they are so reliable. This jeep is very clean and in very good shape for being an 18 year old vehicle. That being said it is not perfect with only small imperfections that I have either pictured or described. Every so often it will throw a small evap. leak code, I have ordered a new gas cap for it.
