About this vehicle This 2001 BMW 740iL is an original with updates to the interior and drivetrain. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle is drivable and is used as a daily driver. Seller"s Notes This vehicle has had a Dinan chip installed.The interior has a video screen added on roof behind sunroof.A backup camera has been added although it has been disconnected because of stereo issues.Car drives great but needs work. I"ve had the car in storage for a couple of years now and I bought a boat that I plan on sailing the world so this project has got to go. Very fast and has always been reliable to for me. Sitting has taken its toll of the little things. There are a few things that need fixing but still very useful. This is a true sport model with the higher gear ratio rear end. It may have been a European car because of the turn lens colors and TV in dash. Somehow the stereo has been muted and I can"t figure out how to unmute it. Things like blower motor and A/C are not functioning correctly but all seat heaters and steering wheel heat work. The start up air pump keeps throwing codes but it doesn"t affect drivability. The brakes work but ABS light is on, may need reset. The passenger front door does have some cancer that I have found on every black 01. Lots of good and some not so good things. I would consider this a very well running parts or rebuilder car. This style is such a great looking car I hope someone will get it that has the energy to bring it along. Interior is in really good condition and it has the large screen. Probably not going to be easy to get it smogged in California. It was a Washington state car but the tags and plates are expired. If you want to drive it off I have no doubt it would make it across the US but you"ll need some plates and a new battery as the old one was dead and I recycled it before it may have caused any damage.
