Vehicle Details 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ Sport 4x4 72,000 ORIGINAL MILES Original Survivor. It is my Jeep, being sold at my house, and the title is in my name. This Jeep Cherokee “XJ” has 72,500 original, CarFax verified miles on it, which is exceptionally low at an average of approximately 3300 miles/year. *Mileage may increase slightly as it is on the road being driven daily. The Jeep is all original and 100% BONE STOCK. NEVER IN AN ACCIDENT and has never been hacked up, lifted, or off-roaded like 90% of the XJ Cherokees out there today. Getting very hard to find in this Bone Stock, Unmolested condition. New Tires, Brakes, 2 Brake Lines, Valve Cover Gasket Kit, Serpentine Belt, Rear Diff Cover. Recent Front and Rear Shocks and Leaf Springs. ALL Fluids Freshly Changed. I think it may need a wheel bearing down the road as it is starting to make a little noise but right now it is hardly noticeable. Options include power windows, door locks, mirrors, MOPAR factory tow package, roof rack, NP-231 4wd transfer case, Dana 35 Rear, ABS, Optional factory CD/Cassette/AM/FM radio, Rubberized trunk liner, and grey tweed interior. You would be hard pressed to find another one this clean in the Northeast. No significant rust. Only thing to speak of if you are super picky would be surface rust on some of the metal parts underneath that were not prepped from the factory and a few bubbles by the step plates in the rear door jambs. Has some wear and tear consistent with any 22 year old vehicle, the headliner was sagging (as they all do), but has been tacked up in a cushion pattern with twist tacks. And this Jeep Cherokee was voted # 5 on a list of top 10 cars that last over 300,000 miles. If you ask around on the cherokee forums and do some googling you will find that the 1997-2001 Cherokee's are the most desirable years because of the combination of the more modern styling while keeping the mechanical simplicity of the car intact. You will see plenty of these 20+ year old cars still on the road being driven daily. They last forever as long as they are taken care of with routine scheduled maintenance. There is also a very active online community (cherokee forums and Facebook groups) so getting advice and answers is quick and easy. Repairs are very easy if you have any mechanical skill at all. There is plenty room in the engine bay with the straight 6 and this drivetrain does not rely heavily on computers as the newer cars do.
