Vehicle description
This 2000 BMW M Roadster is finished in Alpine White 3 over Estoril Blue & Black Nappa leather with a Dark Blue soft top. Her name is Liesel. She has about 49,600 miles. The Radio is the stock BMW Business CD RDS. The seller is a BMW CCA member and has owned the car for five years, having logged 11k miles behind the wheel. This car is powered by an S52 DOHC inline-six backed by a five-speed manual transmission. Per M Roadster Buyers guide, the total Number in Alpine White 3 over Estoril Blue & Black Nappa with a Dark Blue Softtop for 2000 Model Year: 43. Modifications include: CDV delete, Turner front strut brace, fan delete, seat extension mod, Turner Shark Tune - stage 1, M50 intake with a CAI and Billy Boat exhaust, H&R lowering Sport Springs with Bilstein Sport shocks and struts, Rogue Engineering rear shock mounts, Ground Control street camber plates, Ireland Engineering urethane rear subframe mount bushings and steel braded brake lines. Please note, the seller has included photos of the rear subframe as well as timeline trunk photos. Please, also note, the seller has replaced the rear subframe bushings with Ireland urethane bushing, thank you Randy Forbes for the suggestion. There doesn’t appear to have been any changes in the spot welds since the current owner has owned the car. The rear-view mirror, in the car, is not the stock M Roadster mirror, it is a GM day/night mirror. The stock mirror impeded the drivers vision on right turns. But not to fear, the stock M Roadster mirror is included in the sale in and is in excellent condition (see photos). There is a LeatherZ Mark 2 armrest. Finally, the seller installed European front side makers (which are clear) which finishes the look of the car. The Alpine White paint has been well-kept and shows a nice luster throughout. Believed to retain all original panels, the seller thinks the bumper covers have been repainted prior to his purchase. This car shows no evidence of accidents, and all the original VIN tags look to be in place. This car has rock chips on the front bumper cover and there is a dent in the passenger side rocker panel, which was there when seller purchased the car. The body is described as straight with the noted exceptions. This car comes with a Roadster Solutions: Top down interior cover, magnetic stone guards, soft tonneau cover and a BMW wind blocker. The factory tonneau cover was not available when the car was purchased. The soft top is functional and in nice condition with an original, fade-free and clear plastic rear window. There are minor marks and rubs on the window, and the top works flawlessly. Besides the modifications mentioned before, the current owner has done the following: in 2018; flushed the brake, replace the rotors and brake shoes, rebuilt the front calipers, installed new Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires and change the engine oil. In prior years he has changed trannie fluid, rear end fluid, power steering fluid, change spark plugs, change fuel flier, charge up the AC, replace the wiper blades and replace the antenna grommet. The radiator was flushed in 2012. This is a great drivers’ car, it is comfortable, it handles great, it has a great sound. There is not a better color combination for the M Roadster. The new tires have really helped the ride quality over the Pilot Sport tires. I made a video of driving the car, before I knew I was going to sell her. It shows the roads she likes and how Liesel was driven (and may explain some of the rock chips). I do have the original fan, original exhaust, original air box, original mirror, tire air pump as well as the original intake manifold. I have the owner’s manual and two keys. These will go with the car as well. Two minor issues. First, intermittently the fuel gauge stays at empty for a few miles after a fill. Secondly, sometimes the passenger window switch sticks.
