What a car! FAST! 2.5L in-line 6 cylinder engine. And Boy-O-Boy is she a thrill to drive! Tight engine. Tight chassis. And a super close gearbox. Rides like she"s on rails!
I purchased this car in order to fix it up and resale her. The repairs that I have done, have all been miner; Replaced drivers side seat switch, replace some running lights and grill covers, fix passenger door handle. Repairs yet to do; Figure out why AC won"t blow cold, replace rear window on rag-top, fix rag-top automatic open and close mechanism (must put down rag-top manually), foggy headlights. I will repost this car at a higher price when these repairs are complete if it doesn"t sell here. I have been all through this car and all of the VIN numbers on all major body parts that I"ve seen so far still match. Whatever little fender-bender she got into was minor. So don"t be discouraged by the title. In fact, I will not lower the price due to the title.
Out of the repairs still needed, in my mind, the AC is the most important, the compressor will pump if jumped, and the unit has freon in it and will not take in more. I believe it may be over charger but I haven"t gotten around to renting the gauges to see. But really, this car is a play car, meant to take out on a fine day and go for a ride with the top down (which a child of 10 could do, it"s so easily). So the AC, the rear window, and the automatic top-down mechanism, I don"t see as being very important due to the fact that you"ll never use them anyway, or as in the case of the top-down mechanism, it isn"t worth the money to fix.
In conclusion; I wouldn"t think twice about jumping into this car and driving it across the country and back. I believe she would make the journey without breaking a sweat.
