Vehicle description
Hello everyone I’m putting up my 2000 e39 M5 up for auction offered at no reserve! I’ve had the car for some time now and fixed things here and there but I’m in the middle of moving and won’t have space to park the M5 so I thought I would let someone else enjoy this classic
The car is overall pretty clean but it’s does need TLC
Let’s start with the good
It runs amazing pulls strong great clutch no funny noises or leaks drivetrain is 100% solid
PO replaced both vanos units through dr.vanos so you won’t need to worry about that
Original style 65 wheels
157,xxx
Abs unit has been rebuilt
Zhp shift knob with OEM E60 shifter
New radiator
New shifter bushings
New center support abs guibo
Rear control arms
Rear guide links
The engine transmission differential and subframe bushings have all been replaced
New cv joint between driveshaft and diff
Stainless braided brake lines
Oil level/temp sensor
Ice cold ac
The car has been updated to the face lift 2001+
This includes headlights taillights steering wheels instrument cluster and mk4 Navi screen
Muffler delete
Now for the not so good
The abs trac light is on and sometimes the speedo doesn’t work I’ve had it diagnosed by a bmw tech and said one of the abs lines are faulty it’s a $14 part through fcp euro
Check engine light comes and goes for secondary air which is very common for e39 m5s
Front and rear bumper covers should be addressed rear diffuser missing
Paint is ok side mirrors need repainting the pillers clear coat is faded rest of the car still shines
Rear drivers side door has a dent
Key battery needs to be replaced
So apparently according to CARFAX in 2003 the car was stolen then found shortly after then insurance deemed it a total loss but I have a clean title in hand for it so I don’t know went on I’m just relaying the info I have
E39 m5s have been sky rocketing in price lately with very clean examples with 80-100k going for close to 50k!
This is opportunity to own one at a fraction of the cost that you won’t feel bad about driving
Besides the cosmetic issues the car is great really fun to drive
If you have any questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to reach me through messenger
Good luck and bid with confidence
