Vehicle description
Vehicle Details SE 2DR Convertible 5 Speed MANUAL Transmission - ALWAYS GARAGED - 205 horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter engine front-wheel drive, with traction control. Continental Extreme Contact tires (8mm all around) In-dash CD plus multi-CD unit in trunk. Long time Saab owner, this being my 3rd which I bought in 2003 and have kept all maintenance records since. I'm the 2nd owner of this vehicle and had any mechanical work done by a highly rated Saab / Volvo shop here in the LA area. Love the car, but have been putting on less than 1k miles / year the last few - so letting go. The car is a blast to drive, and looks GREAT - didn't even wash or wax it for the photos you see. Just vacuumed. I'd drive it 1,000 miles tomorrow without a worry. AC was blowing cold today. Has always passed every smog check in flying colors. It is a USED car though - I am going to list one problem and every single detail (6 of them - not bad at all for a 22 year old classic vintage car) that I'm aware of: SID replaced with a used one and the upper right screen corner has burnout (see in photos) so you miss the last letter of the month, Very few minor dings (on on hood, one on door in a parking lot type - but not through the paint) which are un-noticeable unless you're waxing the car or really trying to find them, The rag-top is in fantastic condition inside and out, but at the moment does not open as the cylinders need servicing. This is a common problem, caused by barely using the car. The pistons dry out and leak. I've had some replaced in the past. And the bumpers have minor marks as expected. There is one grommet missing in the back seat area. The antenna works fine but looks less than perfectly straight when it comes up. Some kid hit it once. And there is one wear spot / hole the size of a pencil eraser in the carpet behind the gas pedal. Other than that the carpets look damn near new. You may find something else - but I am not aware of anything more. So that was 6+1. The other 1,000 or 2 parts are in really good condition. Selling car "As-Is" since I drive it so seldom I may have missed something. And things do just happen on old cars sometimes. Feel free to have your mechanic come by. If you're not a 9-3 SE expert (there was the standard model and the SE or "special edition") - comes with Cruise Control, Leather power seats, power door locks. and with the stick shift and the turbocharger is a complete joy to drive (and speed) on winding 2 lane roads.
