1999 Jeep Cherokee Limited NO RESERVE 69K MILES NO RUST! You MUST read this. So here we go folks. .the real deal. .NO BS. So i bought this vehicle last year under false pretense by a real slick scammer! I was told this vehicle was a 4WD and being i live in N.Y. that is pretty important to me. I paid TOP dollar for it, probably more than i"m going to get for it but lesson learned. I paid an addition $600 to have it trucked to me. The day I received it I was excited to see it on the top of the auto carrier. I climbed underneath and was so pleased to see no rust! Not so happy to see the usual oil leak at the back of the engine but we all know thats a typical 4.0 problem but easy fix. Anyway i took it directly to my local mechanic who is a 1/4 mile from me to get it taken care of since I"m not trying to destroy my driveway. Anyway $325 to get a new oil cover gasket. .whatever. So i go to pick it up 2 days later and he says to me "wow you don"t see them with no rust anymore" I was like yeah thats why i bought it. He then says "and i"m not used to seeing 2WD models around here" My mouth dropped! How stupid I was not to notice day of delivery that there was no front DIFF! I tried calling the seller immediately and to no surprise the number mysteriously has been disconnected! I called Ebay and they said they can"t do anything about it because the vehicle is over 10 years old. Then the bank whom i did the wire transfer through said it will take time, so 2 months later they said the bank that they wired to is not responding. (Our system is SOO F"D) So needless to say the wife wanted to kill me and its been sitting in my driveway collecting dust. We"re now moving and I have to let it go. I was planning to make a Pre-Runner out of it since I paid so much for it and couldn"t stand the thought of taking a loss considering I didn"t ever drive it or even register it. As for the condition of the truck its quite clean on the exterior, not perfect. I can see its been repainted but there is absolutely NO RUST. It has the bogus 4X4 decals on the rear quarters which made me believe it was legit. The interior is ridiculously clean. Tires all look old and there is an exhaust leak somewhere in the middle. I did put a fuel stabilizer in it as when I knew i wasn"t going to be driving it for a while. Almost forgot I did buy a new battery for it too. I never registered it as i said. I did have it inspected when I brought it to the mechanic and it passed which says a lot since NY is pretty strict. The front JEEP decals on the front of the hood are falling off since they are all cheap aftermarket ones. Engine compartment also very clean. BTW the last pic I posted that makes it look like a brand new truck is the one that the dealer posted when i purchased. Mileage is legit and it was a 2 owner southern vehicle.
