Vehicle description

About this vehicle This 1999 GMC K2500 Suburban is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle runs great and is used as a daily driver. Seller"s Notes Take a look and let me know if you have questions! Vehicle Details Parting ways with my ‘99 GMC Suburban 2500. It’s been an awesome truck for me in the year that I’ve had it, but I had the chance to get a Yukon XL that’s a couple of years newer. It’s a great running truck that has had a fair amount of recent work done. Never once let me down! The good: - Good miles for the year (around 134,600) - Transmission rebuilt in April 2020 - Recent work: drivers door handles (inside and out), JBA headers, tow mirrors, new pinion bearing (front diff), new turn signal/multifunction switch, new serpentine belt, and a few other odds and ends I’m forgetting. - A/C works - About 7,000 miles on a set of Firestone Transforce H2s (245/75/16) - All glass is good and all lights work. - I won’t say there are no leaks because that’s impossible to say for sure - but I do know that if there are leaks, nothing hits the ground. The not so good: - It has rust, mostly bubbling in the rockers and lower panel behind the drivers side rear wheel. By no means the worst I’ve ever seen on a GMT-400 and is definitely fixable. No rust though that I can see. The frame is still solid. - It originally came from out west which helped keep the rust down, but it also dried out the paint. It has several spots where the clear has let go and there is some sun damage. The worst of it is the front of the roof (some surface rust) and top of the passenger side front door frame. The hood also has a couple of spots. See pics, I tried to show all of the areas. - The interior definitely has wear consistent with age but is complete and again, nowhere near the worst I’ve seen on this era of Suburban. The front seats have tears and the carpet does show some stains. Second row bench is in nice shape and I have the 3rd row, which is also in nice shape. - Service engine soon light does come on intermittently. When the code was pulled last it was for an O2 sensor. - ABS light is on - Steering wheel is a little off center - The drivers side front caliper occasionally sticks. If I were keeping it, I’d plan to look at the brakes in the spring. - The exhaust is not complete and exits around the rear axle. Most likely the cause of the 02 sensor and SES light. It’s not too loud and I think sounds pretty good with the headers. - Radio works but the drivers door speaker cuts in and out. - The passenger side rear window is slow but still works. All others are fine. - Fuel gauge doesn’t work. I just use the trip odometer and fill up at 300-350 miles. - The Chevy HD wheels are in ok shape but have the normal corrosion and peeling clearcoat. I have the original steel wheels and GMC center caps. All in all, this is a great truck that has done everything I’ve asked of it. Fires right up in the cold, runs 80 on the freeway in the heat, and everything in between. I’ve taken it on multiple 6+ hour trips without a single problem. Runs, drives, and stops as it should. Tracks straight down the road and tows really well. Even with the cosmetic issues she cleans up well and looks nice. Suburban 2500s from this era are getting hard to find, especially with decent miles and relatively solid bodies. If you’re in the market for a 2500, this one is definitely worth a look. Sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. I’m not a mechanic and have described this to the best of my ability. If you have questions or are wondering about something not listed, please ask! Pick up from Worthington, Ohio 43085 (about 10 minutes north of Columbus) within 7 days of auction end. Full purchase amount in cash or certified funds required at pick up. I’m happy to work with a shipper, but at costs and arrangements (including quotes) are the sole responsibility of the buyer. I’m about 15 minutes from Port Columbus airport (CMH) and am happy to pick up any buyer who wants to fly in and drive home. I reserve the right to end auction early due to local sale. Bidders with negative or zero feedback, please message before bidding or your bid may be cancelled. Since I’m usually asked about it making a trip home, I’ll say I personally wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere. No guarantees but this has never let me down. I’d bring the normal road trip supplies but that’s true for anything that’s over 20 years old. If interested, I can send a link to additional pics, a cold start video, short drive, and another driving video to show that the SES light is intermittent. Thanks for looking!
