Vehicle description
If you"re looking for a dependable hauling vehicle for your farm or business, this is it.
This 1999 Ford F250 XL Super Duty stake truck has a strong-running 7.3 liter Powerstroke diesel V-8, a six-speed manual transmission (overdrive with a "granny" creeper gear), heavy duty suspension, good highway tires and brakes with only a few thousand miles on them. Professionally installed Reading flat bed with good wood flooring and removable steel stake sides. Heavy duty Hidden Hitch towing gear, including new wiring harness and a Valley Industries Odyssey II trailer brake controller. Regular cab with bench seat, rubber floor and manual windows and locks. Comfortable to drive, including cold-blowing air conditioning.
This truck spent the majority of its life driving up and down the eastern United States as a pickup and delivery vehicle for a local tool and die shop. I bought it two years ago, and have used it sparingly (less than 5,000 miles) moving around fencing, animal feed and other miscellaneous farm jobs. I got a new truck and don"t need to keep this one around.
Everything works except the parking brake. The passenger mirror is a bit wobbly. Minimal rust, considering its age and mileage. Surface rust on front bumper and cab corners. No rust-through areas. Frame and underbody are in very good shape. Like most older Powerstroke engines, it leaks a manageable amount of oil from the oil pan. You can buy a kit ($300) to epoxy seal the pan without dropping the engine, but I didn"t use the thing enough to bother with that.
Blue Book value is $6500-$7200. Very low reserve and Buy It Now price is also set below Blue Book range. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of sale. Delivery within lower Michigan possible for additional fee.
