Vehicle description
This Suv (sport utility vehicle) has had only three owners. Only reason I am selling is because the pandemic has cut my hours back at work and I am not getting any overtime I am used to. It it was not for that I would keep it for at least another five years.
Once you drive it you will know what I am talking about.
This little suv feels like a big suv.
These amigos were over built This little SUV is one tough animal. It has been built with a full frame, (like) a Chevy half ton truck). Full locking positrack differentials front and rear, so when its slippery or your in mud, all four wheels will pull at once.
If you have never driven a 4x4 amigo you are missing out!
Plus it has a factory built in roll bar! ! !
It has never given us any issues with the drive line. It shifts great has plenty of power and I replaced the head gasket just after I bought it approx 2500 miles ago. The engine runs and sounds like new and has no overheating or oil pressure problems.
The starter and in tank fuel pump have also been replaced in the last year or so.
The Amigo"s in 1998 did not have a hard top option. ( I found a pic of one like mine with the top off) and posted it so you can see what it looks like topless!
I searched for years and got lucky and found a hard top for this one so it has the original soft top metal component that the soft top goes on and it has a hard top. That is why this Amigo has TWO SUNROOFS! Its pretty cool I think because front seat and back seat riders both have sunroofs!
The air conditioning blows cold. Heater works great. Wipers and lights all work. I also have a spare tailgate and the convertible top frame that you will need if you decide to put the soft top back on. The hood on this suv has some hail dings, I am sure they can be taken out but I did not care about them.
The Amigo has two small rust issues. I have patched them but they will need attention in the future. They are down low on the drivers side and passengers side just in front of the rear wheel opening, You can not see them unless you look close. These Amigos are getting had to find and I have not even tried to sell it locally because I know there is someone out there that will appreciate the fun factor and coolness factor that comes along with driving/owning these.
Bidding starts at just 3850.00 and in my opinion This little Amigo is worth twice that! just look at those tin can freaking suzuki samurais those are half the truck these are and those are crazy in price.
PLEASE DO NOT BID AS THERE IS NO RESERVE and I dont want you to have to lie to me like the last bidder had to. (yes tojo) you know you lied to me a bunch! But its not a big deal just try not to lie when the truth will serve you! Winning bidder to be responsible for shipping or drive it home.
You can absolutely drive this home, no matter where you live. If you live close and want to come see it just call or text and I will set up a time to meet. I live in Lexington Oklahoma. Danny 405-620-2850.
The check engine light is on. Its always been on. I can have it fixed if that means anything to you. Last lady that owned it said it was on for 18 years so it is prolly a 02 sensor or bad gas cap. This thing runs and drives so good I did not care if the light was on or not. If you want this and do not want to miss it you should set your phone alarm to go off this coming Thursday evening at approx. 10:00 A M Central Standard Time. DO NOT MISS IT!
