“This Crown Victoria starts runs great except a slight misfire in the engine - clean title m- great tires, ac works, no rust, good battery, The engine: does fire right up and seems to run okay. it you watch the engine at idle you sometime can spot a little shake - At times not all the time On Board Diagnostics (OBD) will have a check engine light for P0300 - Random Misfire. On board Diagnostic also shows a P0755 code. (shift solenoid). It seems to shift into fist and second okay - but seems to need a new solenoid or service. It is drivable- but I would take it easy due to shift solenoid not working - I have been told by a several people that it is likely a solenoid issue— the part is about 75.00. this car comes with NO smog certificate- and with a clean title -noschedule and test drive -”

Vehicle description

About this vehicle This 1998 Ford Crown Victoria is an original. The owner has had it for less than one year.
This Crown Victoria starts runs great except a slight misfire in the engine - engine does not overheat the coolant - no water in the oil- also : no oil in coolant; but the misfire seems to get the catalyst on passenger side very hot if driven for long periods. I am not aware of what is causing the misfire. It can be driven with a fuel injector unplugged . A guy could drive It away in first and second gear.
This car comes with a clean title, great tires, ac works great, no rust, good battery, has the jack, lug wrench and full sized spare.
On Board Diagnostics (OBD) will have. An occasional code - a check engine light for code: P0300 - Random Misfire.
On board Diagnostic also shows a P0755 code. (shift solenoid). The car drives - but it won’t shift into 3rd or 4th gear - It seems to shift into first and second gear and reverse okay - but seems to need a new solenoid. It is drivable- but I would take it easy due to shift solenoid not working - I have been told by a several people that it is likely a solenoid issue— the part is about 75.00. (Shift solenoid b)
New motorcraft plugs, new thermostat, new oxygen sensors, (couple months ago)
This car comes with NO smog certificate- and with a clean title.
It has no DMV back fees- it was a government vehicle - CA exempt plates didn’t expire. ( I can giv you the plate number it had so you can do the California DMV few calculations online).
