My wife and I just got the Mercedes bug. The Subaru has been my wife car for 13 years, AWD and well cared for, prefect no. But, reliable. My wife wanted something new after 13 years.
Both have clear titles and could be driven from Florida to Alaska without worry!
Subaru has just had a new water pump and kit, timing chain complete swap for new & improved(best done at the same time) battery and AC work. We replaced the front rack and pinion about 1.5 years ago. Tires are goodyears and in perfect shape. Newly tinted windows after learning that 20 years of sun dried out the tops of the rear seats. You would not know without looking close. Car is in well cared for and perfect working order. The aftermarket alarm of 13 years stopped working, does not affect thecae starting or running, would need replaced eventually.
Mechanically 100%, Slight imperfections in interior(clean though) and exterior, minor marks 95% exterior due to new paint on most of car.
Car is reliable and will last another 8-10 easy with minimal maintenance.
