1997 Gmc Safari All Wheel Drive Van Currently it is an 8 passenger van but it has potential to make it what you want it.Some have converted them in to weekend getaway adventure vehicles, just by removing the two rear seats and using it for overnight camp trips, ski trips, or going to Baja surfing for a short vacation.It is quite versatile as it is AWD and will get you where you want to go in extreme comfort.It also has dual front Power seats with a variety of positions.I suppose if you use your imagination it could serve you in a variety of ways by adding interior appointments such as a small refer, cabinets, or a fold out Z bed.They seem to be very popular and niche.It has considerably low miles for the year, averaging under 7,000 miles per year@ 154,000 These Safari"s are known to go well in to the 250,000 mile + range without problems.It is the top of the line model for the year. Gmc was head and shoulders above the Chevy Astro van when it comes to quality of features, upholstery, and comfort.It is fully optioned with front, and rear A/C, and heat as well.The interior is in Immaculate condition, and extremely comfortable.There are no signs of wear, stains, or odors anywhere.The carpeting throughout is in Xlnt condition as well.The paint and body are in fantastic shape too.There are absolutely no clear coat issues, or fading.On a scale of 1-10 the paint and body are a 9 1/2 because we all know there are no 10"s All power options are in working order.The A/C has just been rebuilt including the condenser, all vacuum lines, and dryer included. It has always had regular interval services, mostly at Factory dealerships throughout it"s life. It has all new suspension with a mild 4" lift which will help with camping, snow, or just that appearance stance that so many like nowadays.It kind of sets it apart from the other ones, yet is still easy to get in to because of the low entry step.New Bilstein shocks, a complete tune up, to include, drive belts. valve cover gaskets, transmission service, new Interstate battery, Transmission has also been rebuilt about 7,000 miles ago, not because of failure, but it had a hard shift and the shop recommended that if they were going in there to replace the valve body they might as well address it all. .New plugs, cap, rotor, and air cleaner.It runs beautifully, drives smooth, straight, and tight.The front end was also aligned at the time the suspension modification and new tire installation were done.Lower ball joint and tie rod ends not too long ago as well.The cooling system was also flushed, and new coolant added.All drive train cases were addressed as well.The undercarriage is clean as can be, as it has always been a local California car.It has brand new All terrain tires, and new Rally style wheels with Police Special wheel center caps giving it a mild custom, but reserved appearance.It has absolutely zero issues and is extremely reliable whether a daily driver, or cross country trip, a no excuse rig.I purchased it from the original owner.These particular AWD vans are few, and far between especially in this condition.It is currently smogged and ready to go if you are in an emissions compliant area.Please avoid texting as I do not do business via text, A phone call works best. This is an absolutely get in, drive anywhere Van, without hesitation. It has just recently, within the last 100 miles had an extensive, and thorough service, and evaluation, and all suggested items were addressed and it is good to go anywhere.It will not even require an oil change for another 3,000 miles, and the list goes on! The only reason I am selling is that I recently retired and do not have the means to insure three vehicles when I can only drive one at a time.I can promise who ever gets this rig will not be disappointed at all.It is by far one of the nicest ones around in every regard, from the interior to the exterior. It is not like most used vehicle purchases where you will need to take it in and spend thousand of dollars to bring it up to reliability status, it has all been done.In closing, and to reiterate one last time, thousands of dollars have recently been spent on it so you won"t have to concern yourself with worrying about it"s reliability, and incurring any additional expenses after your initial purchase.People always compliment me on its appearance and the condition.I am a non smoker, and so were the first owners so there are no odors at all.
