“Finished in desirable and rare Blue Pozzi with dark blue leather interior and a dark blue canvas top, this 355 is in very presentable “driver” condition. It has had some paintwork over the years, but the paint will respond well to a thorough detail. Two of the wheels have a little paint peeling near the center caps (photographed). The tires are all in very good condition (dated 2016/7). This is a good looking, strong driving 355 spider.VIN# - ZFFXR48A9V0110210” |

Vehicle description
Re-listed due to a time wasting, non-paying high bidder! !
You are looking at the best value 6 speed 355 spider currently being offered anywhere! At the opening bid in this NO RESERVE auction, this car is an absolute BARGAIN! Finished in desirable and rare Blue Pozzi with dark blue leather interior and a dark blue canvas top, this 355 is in very presentable “driver” condition. It has had some paintwork over the years, but the paint will respond well to a thorough detail. Two of the wheels have a little paint peeling near the center caps (photographed). The tires are all in very good condition (dated 2016/7). This is a good looking, strong driving 355 spider. The odometer shows approximately 48,500 miles, although the true miles are unknown. This is because there have apparently been at least one, and quite possibly TWO replacement speedometers fitted during the car’s lifetime. Carfax shows an odometer discrepancy in December 2010 when the odometer reading was recorded as 5,165 miles, having previously recorded an odometer reading of 36,029 in September 2010. It is important to note that the same owner (between 2004 and 2018) always had the car serviced at the same Ferrari dealer in NY. Given that it was the same owner and the same Ferrari dealer, we can be sure there was nothing suspicious about the odometer reading discrepancies. It seems likely that an alternative used speedometer was installed between the two visits to the dealer in September and December 2010. The miles then continue to be recorded progressively until 2018 (again, same owner, same Ferrari dealer), then another mileage anomaly occurs in May 2019 when the odometer jumped 29,000 miles in a little over 12 months. Clearly this seems highly unlikely, so perhaps a second used speedometer was installed at that point? It may actually be that the 48,500 miles indicated is close to the true miles, as the speedo jumped back about 31k in 2010 than forward 29,000 miles in 2019! Unfortunately, we just don’t know, so again, the TRUE MILES ARE UNKNOWN. Incidentally, May 2019 is when the last belt service was carried out. Fast forward to today. This car has just received a service and minor repairs in the Team CJ Workshop. As well as an oil change, a front shock absorber was replaced and several of the shock actuators were also replaced. A rebuilt alternator was installed and some exhaust repairs were carried out. We also treated and dyed the seats. The car currently has no dash warning lights showing. The central red light (alarm) is constantly illuminated. The convertible top is currently inoperative and needs repair. The top itself is in good condition. This car runs and drives very well. The clutch disc has plenty of life left in it and has obviously been recently replaced, the transmission shifts very well, and the engine pulls strong and runs cool. The air blows cold, although the potentiometer beneath the knob which directs the flow of air is apparently out of sync with the knob. For example if you turn the knob to have cold air blow down, it blows out of the fascia vents, etc. A large file of invoices accompanies the car dating back to 2002. We had this car sold (for much more money than the opening bid!) before we realized there was an issue with the odometer readings. It is now for sale at a bargain price and represents the best value you will ever find if you are looking for a 6 speed 355 spider in “driver condition”. I have been as open and transparent about the car’s history, condition and needs as I can possibly be.
