!997 BMW X3 2.8L ROADSTER. Garage kept all its life in Northern California, located from new until 2005 in Mill Valley Ca, with the first owner for 62,500 miles, until it was purchased by the 2nd owner and moved to Windsor, Ca. Car was also Garage kept and covered by the 2nd owner, from 2005 until now. (1st and 2nd ownership change was with-in the family - CarFax shows 3 owners).Dealer serviced during first ownership. The current owner had the car serviced by Dealer and other, reputable shops as needed. Documentation of maintenance or any repairs is available from the current owner. Any work done by 1st owner is listed in the CarFax. The car was well maintained. There are no mechanical or electrical issues, no codes shown.There is a minor issue with the gas gage. When the tank is less than 1/2 full, the gauge needle will fluctuate a bit. Additionally, heater/blower air is not very strong coming out of the upper registers. The floor is OK. The AC works. The convertible top was replaced several years ago and is still in like-new condition. Some minor weak spots with these cars have been addressed, the power seat rail stops have been replaced (common) and the glove box mounting has been repaired and re-enforced to suit (common). Additionally, the rear axle mounting brackets have been inspected and found to be OK. (when these cars are driven aggressively, the rear axle mounting bracket weld can be compromised. (This car was driven by 2 ladies only, first and 2nd owners.)The Interior is in excellent condition, with only the driver side seat bolster showing minor wear from getting into the car. Carpeting is clean. Dash is not cracked, gages are in excellent condition as well as the rest of the interior. Transmission shifts smoothly. Steering is tight, car tracks straight at all speeds. Tires are in good condition with more than 50% treat remaining. The car is equipped with an optional BMW 6-cassette changer, mounted in the trunk. The stereo, and all lights on the dash work. The green paint is in good condition, with only a few paint chips in the front, lower area. Brakes are fairly new, new front and back. I am selling the car for a friend, who is not familiar with selling a car on eBay. The car is located in Windsor, Ca, and can be inspected and test-driven at any time.
