Very rare and historically significant Meyers Manx SR (street roadster) serial #2, and is currently the oldest existing ManxSR, and in all original condition. It has the original gel coat paint,never repainted or in an accident, bias ply tires,interior, roof, engine, trans. It is also believe to be the first SR with a Corvair engine 140HP. It has the only one with slotted chrome wheels with Manx badge inserts, and the rear hood with a buldge for the 4 carb Corvair engine. I bought the car from the person who. he was the historian for the Manx website before it became defunct and he believes only 125 were built, and approximately 35-40 exist. It sat for many years before I bought it, I installed a new gas tank, gas line, fuel pump, and rebuilt all 4 carbs. I installed new plugs, plug wires, dist cap and points/condenser. I installed a new brake master cyl. and one hose, bled the system with new fluid to get the brakes working so I could drive it. It runs great with no noises or leaks, trans shifts good, but I have not opened the brake drums to see inside. I have 2 complete assembly manuals, a number of publications that ran articles on the car in the day, as well as some ads and brochures. Call with ques? car will come with a bill of sale.
