Vehicle description
Up for sale is my base 3000GT, it"s seen better days but nothing a loving owner can"t fix. I"ll get straight to the pros and cons, starting with cons:
- It won"t pass smog due to the car burning oil Reason: The valve stem seals are shot, leaking oil into the combustion chamber Fix: Either replace the seals or replace the heads. - The catalytic converters are shot Reason: Due to the issue above, it has to be fixed before replacing the cats or risk damaging them quickly. Fix: Replace the catalytic converters after fixing the issue above.
- Salvage title Reason: I bought this car from a auto dismantler, automatically giving it a salvage title or so I"m told. I"ve inspected the car and there"s no sign of frame damage, to the best of my knowledge. - Minor fender bender, Rear left of vehicle Reason: I backed up into a van, damages weren"t severe so it wasn"t reported to the dmv or insurance. - Regular wear and tear of a owner who didn"t care much about the car.
Pros:
- New ignition parts from the Coils>Spark Plugs NGK Iridiums, NGK wires, Delphi Coils - New Gates Timing Belt, Pump, Bearing, etc. No replacement needed until ~208,000 miles - New head unit, amplifier, speakers Rockford Fosgate speakers all-around, 250w Alpine amplifier, Pioneer head unit - No Check Engine Light The car used to have one for a misfire, it was resolved once I replaced the ignition components listed above. - New Super Start Battery from O"Reilly"s About three months old
Other points worth mentioning:
- The car is still being driven, so the mileage will slowly go up. - The car needs new CV axles, which I have and will include with the auction. I just really don"t have time to change them myself or the funds to have it done. - The body is a solid 5/10, the car was already repainted a red/orange when I bought it. It was originally white.
Overall the car is a bit rough around the edges, nothing TLC can"t fix.
Any questions? Don"t hesitate to message me, I"ll try my best to answer your questions to the best of my knowledge!
