“This beautiful VR-4 Spyder is in good shape overall. The rear spoiler has some clear peel along with a small spot behind the rear glass. It could use a headlight reconditioning, and probably just needs a good repainting since it is 23 years old. The drivers seat has a rip at the middle seam, an easy repair. The drivetrain is excellent. I've never seen oil left under it, and I have done the suspension and driveshaft. It does not smoke, and the transmission shifted smooth. The top works but sometimes needs help in the middle of the transition.”

Vehicle description

This 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Spyder is one of the rare imports that I absolutely love. I believe there were 514 of the Caracas Red with grey leather interior models made. Also, I believe a little over 1000 were produced total. The twin turbo V6 engine is silky smooth and sounds great. I"m a car dealer, but bought this for my personal collection, so I know how to take care of cars. I"m selling this one because I need room for a new project. For a 23 year old car, it"s mechanically in great condition and the Autocheck shows 0 accidents. The top works but sometimes needs a hand to push it, sometimes it does not. I have overhauled the suspension and 2 piece driveshaft. It has never left oil underneath it, which if you know these cars, is rare. As far as I know, the all wheel steering and all wheel drive works as well. Yes, when you shift under heavy load, you get the satisfying "WHOOSH," from the turbos. It has the original spare. For the new buyer, I"d recommend finding a new headliner (which I think you can pull off a normal 3000GT), and changing the exhaust tips. I had the exhaust done and for some reason my guy put these tips on and I was furious. There are no check engine lights or anything of that nature. Even the ECS Sport suspension works, and it better, the new shocks I bought were $300 a piece. Cosmetically, the rear spoiler has peeling clear, along with a small spot or two behind the rear glass. There is a small bubble (rust?) spot directly in the middle of the frame of the windshield on the top. I firmly believe the value of these cars is going up, especially when they reach the 25 year mark. Let me know if you have any questions, I have more photos available on request. This is a car that turns heads wherever it goes. You see Porsches, Corvettes, even Ferraris on rare occasions. You don"t see these. Own a piece of history.
