This is a North American Specification (NAS) D90. VIN: SALDV3288SA975021
I am in the military and had this truck in climate controlled storage for 17 months. I just a accepted another long-term assignment overseas which won"t allow me to take her along. I am considering selling to someone who would take care of and enjoy her instead of putting her back into storage.
The truck runs perfectly. It is in tip-top condition with new plugs and wires and all fluids were recently changed. This particular truck has the distinction of being #25 of 500 imported. This defender is ready to be driven.
Highlights: This is a 1995 Defender, the last of the manual transmissions imported into the United States under the North American Specification (NAS). It is a 3.9L V-8 with 5 speed manual transmission. I purchased her over a decade ago and have babied her ever since with mobile one oil changes and keeping her indoors when not in use. Note that it has a SAL title- I never learned why but you can look it up by the vin. The just truck runs without any issues.
Blemishes: There is a dent on the front left. The rear door key is missing but I bought the kit to change out the locks which you will get. The passenger door is painted a slightly different white. The rear utility light needs to be replaced.
Upgrades: - New transmission; I had it put in right before I left last year and she was put into storage. - New master and slave cylinders - 4 new Tires: LT265/75R-16 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar – these tires are Kevlar reinforced and set me back $1,087.40 - $300 radio upgrade to JENSEN JMS7010 Waterproof AM/FM/CD/MP3/WB/USB/iPod & iPhone and SIRIUS Satellite Radio Ready Marine Stereo with NOAA Weatherband"- Optional IPhone/ Ipod attachment installed. - Electronic harness for trailer lights - Roof rack - currently off the truck but I included an older pic here so you can see it. - Warn winch (XD9000)/ Tow packageDeluxe - Full Width Front Winch HD Bumper with Grille Guard- Sunroof - Hella Lights with covers, rear lamp guard - Tuffy console with cupholders - Large rubber mat for rear cargo area
