Vehicle description
Van Geaux is ready to go on your next adventure! But before you take off, please read the entire description. Thanks!
Van Geaux is a 1995 High Top Chevrolet G20 Van, automatic, with a 5.7L V8 engine. It has 179,000 miles on it and gets approximately 12-15 MPG. It has been built-out as a camper van with comfort and storage in mind.
Van Geaux features a 6" memory foam queen size mattress; a sink with two 7-gallon fresh and gray water tanks; a 3-speed Fan-Tastic Vent fan; two 100-watt flush mount solar panels with 200 amp-hour batteries, charge controller, and switch panel; insulated walls; wood paneling; solar powered lights; lots of cabinets and counter space; newer tires; and a new radio and speakers.
We recently flushed the radiator and installed a new thermostat. The motor has been checked by 2 mechanics (when the thermostat was replaced) and it is sound, with no oil leaks. If you live in a state that requires smog/emissions testing, Van Geaux passed in July with flying colors.
Van Geaux is 26 years old so it has a few quirks. First, there"s no door key. You can have it re-keyed. The power windows work but the driver"s side window is off track. It has to be raised/lowered by hand. This can also be fixed. The AC doesn"t work (though we are currently trying to fix that, I can"t promise anything). The windshield is cracked. The check engine light comes on after you"re on the highway for a while then goes right back off within minutes. We"ve tested it with a code reader and it is not throwing a code. And of course, there"s the paint job. You can repaint it or leave it as is, which has proven to be a great deterrent to thieves and curiosity seekers.
This is a very sound van that has lots of life and adventure left in it. I bought it from the couple who built it out and have had no issues other than the thermostat (mentioned above). For additional photos, see our listing on TheVanCamper.
If you have any questions, I will try my best to answer them. You must arrange pick-up from the metro-Nashville, TN area. If you"re local, message me and you can come by to see it.
Cash or cashier"s check only. No personal checks will be accepted! I will consider payment with a credit card via PayPal but the buyer is responsible for any and all associated fees.
