Vehicle description

Excellent condition 1993 Westfalia Volkswagen EuroVan MV Camper with 16" alloy rims that was originally a California car, garaged by us and has not been driven in snow. Has a CURT 13217 Class III 2 in. Receiver Hitch but we have only towed small utility trailers. No coolant or oil leaks at all. Four brand new Yokohama Torante tires (less than 1000 miles). The whole package includes a car cover, back rear "Add-a-Room" camping tent so you can get more air plus a changing room as well as an extra child cot that allow a up to 60 lb. child to sleep across the front seats. The Westfalia MV Camper in my opinion is much better than the full camper because it is more versatile to carry people and equipment and it still has a small 12V refrigerator plus you can carry your water in a jug and also a simple camp stove which is a better option overall. You don"t have to worry about replacing propane tanks or draining water/waste tanks, you just have to be smart about your camping. The 2.5L inline 5-cylinder -10V engine is based on the original Audi design (10V, 20V and 20V-turbo) from the 80"s and 90"s for the lengendary Quattro and are know to be bullet-proof engines that go past 300,000 miles regularly. You will have 115 hp which beats the Vanagon"s boxer 2.1L 4-cylinder by 25hp but not as much as some of GoWesty upgrade engines that you will pay $6 to $10K to get enough power with the 2450 or 2700 cc to move your breadbox down the road. VW Vanagon(T3) drivers still wave at you in your Eurovan(T4) because you have the uber cool Westfalia sticker on your poptop roof. Some people shy aware from the 5-cylinder because parts are harder to find but you can find plenty on from the UK, Germany and Latvia which is where I have been finding plenty. You should also know how to cross reference VAG (Volkswagon Audi Group which includes Skoda) parts on www.rockauto.com as well as www.busdepot.com (my favorite because you can search by OEM Part# very easily), www.vanagain.com and www.gowesty.com. So what I am saying is the rarer inline 5-cylinder Eurovan is not a crazy prospect to look over compared to the 4-cylinder boxer in the Vanagon or the VR6 in later Eurovans as long as you are willing to do your research or have a good VW/Audi mechanic. Don"t even think of taking it to a VW dealer unless you have deep pockets for VAG OEM parts which cost 3 to 5 X of normal and some stuff they cannot find. We have owned this over a year and taken a long trips to Canada with our family but are changing gears literally to a F150 pickup, sailboats and motorboats and are looking to be towing a camper instead. It has a 5 speed manual and cruises very nicely at 80+ mph no problem which is harder to do in a Vanagon with 4-cylinders unless you get the . This is our 4"th VW Vanagon/Eurovan that we have owned and have put much love and time into keeping this in great shape on the outside and inside. A 1993 Eurovan has the first generation OBD connectors that you can hook up the Ross-Tech VAG/COM tool with the VAS 5051/2 "2x2" Adapter for Older Cars ( https:/ store.ross-tech.com/shop/af2x2/ ) if you want to hook up you OBD reader and get basic engine info but the codes are very basic. Try doing that on an older Vanagon without having the super cool the GoWesty GW-EFI. The canvas on the popup is brand new looking and I believe the previous owners had updated this, i.e. no mice have chewed the canvas. The mechnanical and body work (I have the receipts and part i.d."s for all of this work.) are over $4000 in the past year to keep it running/looking like new: 1) Full timing belt and all pulleys, tensioner and water pump replaced at 140,000 miles after our Canada trip where it ran like a champ. All parts OEM VAG(Volkswagon Audi Group) or better, no knock off parts. 2) Upgrade spark plugs last year. New Intermotor GB449 distributor cap (better than OEM) and Bosch 04170-P rotor installed. 3) New URO parts ( 023129101) crankcase breather valve. 4) Five new updated flow matched genuine Bosch fuel injectors and seals. Bosch 0280155604 are later production injectors with a revised design for improved fuel atomization. 5) Oil has been changed 3X since we have owned it. New fuel filter at 140,500. Air filter at 138,000. Fuel filter about 500 miles ago. 6) Instrument cluster has been professionally repaired back to new by http:/ atlantaspeedometer.com so that fuel gauge and engine temperature work perfectly. This was a common issue with the Eurovan so now you will not have to worry about this failing. The rebuild comes with a 5 year warranty. 7) New CV joint on front passenger side repaired in 2019. 8) New inner and outer tie rods plus Meyle rubber bellows ( on driver and passenger sides. Car aligned professionally after tie rods. 9) New Bosch rebuilt starter from Rock Auto. (It looks very shiny and starts every time! !). Also don"t forget you can push start your manual transmission car even if the starter dies or you drain the battery in the middle of nowhere- > We know this from experience as we have done this more than a couple of times with various manual transmission cars and it has gotten us out of jams. 10) New VEMO ignition switch and German branded ignition relay. 11) New Wehrle RY256 German turn signal relay ( INTERCHANGE PARTS NUMBERS : 191953227A, 1H0953227, 9442468 111953227D, 1363786, 176953227)
12) New upgrade rear turn signal housing from Bus Depot. 13) Addressed rust on front quarter panels and door jams. 14) New windshield and windshield seal and addressed corrosion around window seal. 15) Used VW t4 Multivan Caravelle Solenoid Valve 701963375 1147412067 BOSCH (We were not getting good heat in the winter, front and rear blowers are fine). I got this on for $39 as the best price I could find for a new one is $159. 16) New 408202011002Z/ Idle Control Valve Volkswagen 037906457C VDO Kienzle Mannesmann. 17) Previous owners had installed a new ECU. I have the paper work for this as well. Major Cool Upgrades 17) BRAND NEW! Add-A-Room Shelter for your Rear Hatch! A Must-Have! Check it out at Bus Depot if you are wondering what this is. https:/ www.busdepot.com/ahe 18) Brand new UK made car cover for storing your "camper" over the winter. 19) Not installed but included sale is a brand new Bosal muffler ($100) so you will be ready when the rear one goes in 3 to 5 years. 20) CURT Class III - Hitch. 21) New ECU was installed by previous owner. The BAD (or what I have not gotten to yet) 1) Catalytic converter honeycomb detached and we punched it out because it was rattling around. New one on Bus Depot is $268.39. If you want this done I will add in for cost of the part only and install for free as part of the sale if you do the full Buy It Now. Make sure you reference this. ( https:/ www.busdepot.com/023131701g ) 2) Front blower only works on highest fan speed. I think this is the Blower Motor Control Module / Resistor and you can easily find this on Rock Auto for $13 to $45 but I have not dug into which one I need yet but this is manual temperature control where you slide the lever from blue (cold) to red (hot)( https:/ www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/volkswagen,1993,eurovan,2.5l+l5,1280999,heat+&+air+conditioning,blower+motor+control+module+/+resistor,6557 ) 3) The pictures show some of the seam rust that is starting on the driver side. The good thing is white cars are easy to paint and match. 4) I would upgrade to the E-Code Headlight Upgrade Kit for Eurovan Improve your visibility with European-spec H4 headlights! Kit includes both headlamps, German H4 bulbs, and splice-on H4 headlight sockets. $239.95 from Bus Depot ( https:/ www.busdepot.com/701941017kit ) and include this as part of the sale if you do full Buy It Now.

If you have read this far please do not ask me what the reserve price is or I will send back the reply that it is somewhere between the starting bid and the Buy It Now option.
Also if you have read this far you might ask as a potential buyer. Would you (the seller) personally drive this right now across the US on a road trip. I would unequivocally answer, yes
