Vehicle description
Many more high resolution pictures below
By far one of the most beautiful and perhaps the most optioned and loaded M5 in the entire USA if not in the world as it has heated rear seats in addition to the front ones, self dimming rear view mirror and power rear sunshade with driver memory seat, CD changer, premium sound and compartmented first aid kit that slides out from under front passenger seat among with all tools and rear roadside reflective triangle.
It was acquired out of Japan in 2018 (it was owned by a former Japanese prime minister) and since been driven 10k kilometers of its 169k indicated kilometers (~105k miles) since imported to the USA after complete rebuild of engine and transmission out of the car.
The M5 was bought over from Florida and issues were fixed as listed below in order to take it to the next level:
1- Converting the rear hydraulic shocks to E34 sport shocks 2- Changing hydraulic power steering pump to regular power steering pump with all new hoses, pump and new proper reservoir 3- Converted the damaged shrunken rear shelf cloth, A-pillar, C-pillar, headliner and shifter consul to Black German Alcantara 4- Fixed the rear power sunshade. 5- Repair the Upper left bolster leather on driver’s seat with exact BMW German black leather. 6- Fixed malfunctioning front fog lights 7- Replaced rear trunk shocks 8- Cleaned and fixed over sprayed engine compartment paint with proper paintwork 9- Purchased and placed missing front windshield trim 10- Purchased and replaced lower driver kick panel and gong 11- Replaced missing inner headlight covers 12- Replaced all 4 tires with proper New Michelin tires 13- Ordered proper BMW logo laser cut keys in addition to the original master service key 14- Replaced rear muffler 15- Fixed non-operational BMW trunk mounted CD-changer 16- Re-sealed the front windshield cowell 17- Corrected the overs-sprayed on front A/C condenser fan, wiring and condenser by disassembling entire front bumper, grills, headlights, side markers and front air dam vent moldings
18- Purchased and replaced an original first aid kit for Japan model M5 which was missing under the passenger front seat. 19- Replaced missing reflective triangle in the toolbox with correct genuine M5 and Japan model specific one 20- Replaced all 4 door cards as the leather had shrunk due to their age 21- Got alignment done 04/29/2020 22- Passed California smog check 04/29/2020
The M5 is Sterling Silver over Black Nappa leather, the car is powered by a twin-cam M-power 3.6-liter inline-six (S38B36) paired with a five-speed manual gearbox, options are:
-On board computer -Sunroof -Power windows -Air condition -Moonroof -Japan model BMW in dash stock radio frequency and cassette player -Power rear sunshade -Alcantara rear shelf, A pillars, C pillars and shifter consul shelf -Electronic /Automatic mechanical self dimming mirror -Memory driver’s seat -Heated front seats -Electronic lower front seat extenders -Heated rear seats - Premium Hi-Fi sound with front and rear angular tweeters -6 Disc CD changer -Stock original Japan model non-airbag factory M steering wheel -Japan spec. premium sound with hi-if sound with total of 8 speaker and tweeters -City lights -Fog-lights -Rear fog-lights - E39 M-parallel 18” wheels and hubcentric rings with new Michelin tires -Japan Spec Kilometer speedometer and odometer with English language instrument cluster -Dual zone climate control system - Compartmented first aid kit under passenger seat
Also has complete newly replaced suspension control arms and rear pitman arms before it arrived to California
An E34 M5 models in this condition is quite a rare collectable as not only it possesses one of the most sought after engines by the automotive enthusiasts but also is a Japan market spec car with a freshly rebuilt matching number engine and transmission.
This generation M5 can be found for purchase usually from $15,000 up to $35,000 with original engines with many more miles than this one (which normally means that they are in needs of complete rebuilt as these engines only last 175K miles before pistons pieces start to disintegrate from the top of the pistons inside cylinders, crank and rod bearings wear out due to age) and one needs much deeper pocket to keep them going as a proper rebuild like the one that was done here costs $22,000 if not more due to issues from improper maintenance and excessive engine component wear.
This M5 is now offered with importation paperwork, clean California title in my name and California smog check.
