1990 Porsche 928 S4
Originally Slate Metallic over Cork leather.
150575 miles and counting.
New battery, air filters, upper control arms and if you"re wondering. .yes they cost over a grand just to buy them. I also replaced the seat control module. Original included along with the original control arms and a pair of window switches. I bout the wrong ones. .apparently in 1990 they used a 3 wire setup and not the 4 wire I bought.
Prior to my ownership the owner did the timing belt, water pump, plugs, wires and coils, the valve covers and intake were stripped and powder coated. 17 inch turbo twist wheels in chrome were added and the RDK system was bypassed with a jumper. Also. .X-Pipe and RMB/Rear muffler bypass were installed. Car sounds excellent and runs out nice, pulls strong throughout all gears shifting smoothly. Books included along with a clean title in my name. Car is registered and insured.
No belly pans. Drivers window motor quit, window is currently in the down position. Passenger window switch quit, hence my purchasing new ones. Drivers seat switch has failed. Sunroof motor is tired. Opens just fine but needs assistance when closing. Door handles need finessing. Third brake light is out. Drivers tail light harness needs new sockets. Rear wiper motor functions but mechanism is out of alignment. I hit a pothole and this tripped the airbag light. .a common problem. Couple of bulbs out in the dash pod. Stereo is older Pioneer unit. Works but an update would be best. No spare tire. .amplifier in its place. Tool kit is complete with exception of one screwdriver. Drivers seat bolster has damage and passenger seat bottom has damage. Car has been repainted guards red. It is failing in places due to poor prep. This was done prior to my ownership. Good from 10 feet but not up close. Best to invest in a fresh repaint back to its original color. See pictures.
This is a classic 28 year old Porsche with just over 150k miles. There are a lot of little things that need attention on this car but I have my eye on a Jag E-type and have decided to cut this one loose to partially subsidize its cost. DO NOT EXPECT a cream puff.
