1987 Porsche 928 S4 Very nice black on black 1987 928 S4 that I’ve owned for almost 8 years. I’m the third owner. I wish I could keep her but circumstances dictate that it’s time she moves on to someone who can make more use of her. With a young family and limited storage space for my cars I rarely get a chance to drive her any more. Less than 1,000 miles per year for the past 2 years. I’ve been driving Porsches for over 25 years and have two classic air cooled cars that need to take priority. She has just over 89k miles and had 82k when I bought her. Unfortunately the odometer stopped working at some time last year, probably the plastic gear in the dash that always falls apart. I would estimate there’s no more than 1.5k miles missing based on how little she’s used. I use her for a couple of days every month for school pick up and a short run on the freeway to keep her in shape. She comes with a thick folder for all of the work that been done dating back to 1992 and 41k miles. Timing belt, water pump, rollers and radiator replaced 6 years and 5k Miles ago. Timing belt just inspected, adjusted and given a clean bill of health along with $1,000 + service that included new distributors and trans fluids. New engine mounts (Volvo) and rebuilt transmission lines in early 2016 (about 1.5k miles ago). Runs and drives great. Always had attention when needed. Sitting on 18 inch turbo twist wheels and Bridgestone Potenzas. I’ve just changed the oil and topped up all the fluids. Interior in great condition. Seats are in good shape, comfortable and very supportive. Two slight cracks between the vents. Some light cracking in the pod cover. Momo steering wheel and gear shift. I have the original wheel and can swap that out if the purchaser prefers that. The toolkit is almost complete, just missing the tow hook. Windows and sunroof work. Interior tailgate release doesn’t work. AC stopped working a couple of years ago and since I live in coastal Northern California I’ve had no reason to fix it. It may need a new compressor or it may just need a re-charge. It was repainted by the previous owner due to vandalism and the paint stands up well. I had her on ebay earlier and cancelled the auction since somebody dinged the rear bumper in a parking lot and that has now been repainted so looks like new. Overall a very nice driver that really stands out in a crowd and will be a great investment. I wish I could keep her but she needs to be used more and I have run out of space. This is my third 928 and it took me a long search to find one so clean. I’m happy to work with your shipper to get her delivered, at your expense of course.
