Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1989 Chevrolet G20 is a modified vehicle with updates to the interior. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives. Vehicle Details VIN: 1GBEG25K3K7116511 Make/Model: 1989 Chevy G20 Body Style: 34VN Exterior Interior Betty Blue has a far more spacious interior than meets the eye from the outside. When you step up into her living area from the swinging side doors you have a light switch for the overhead LED's that brightly welcomes you into her cozy living area. VIN: 1GBEG25K3K7116511 Make/Model: 1989 Chevy G20 Body Style: 34VN -Storage- Betty has storage galore! Up top we have the 5 hydraulic storage cabinets, which can hold lots of clothes and have cork board on the outside for pictures and more! The 2 cabinets behind the bed have rods for hanging additional clothes and extra room underneath. The slanted cabinet between the closets acts as both a back rest and extra storage. The little bed side table blends in perfectly between the bed and the kitchen, and has a great sized drawer for any of your bedside books or knick knacks. Underneath the bedside table is the perfect place for a laundry basket! Next up we have all the storage underneath the bed! The pull out drawer covers the full 34” length of the bed and is coated with a deep teal enamel paint that's easy to wipe clean. All storage cabinets keep closed for no hassle drives! Above the cab there are 3 built-in overhead storage padded with beautiful teal carpet, which allows for open shelving with minimal movement during drives. These shelves are as deep as the cab is long and have infinite possibilities from linens to books to snacks. There are thoughtful uses of space all throughout Betty so you never have to worry about having a place for your things! -Living Room- The living room is a truly unique touch in this build. The large wooden floor in front of the kitchen allows room for yoga, art projects, or even hosting friends and family! Warm oak vinyl flooring spans from the cab back to the bed and can easily be swept and kept clean. There are two main lights in the van, one switch conveniently located just as you open the side door that sets off the 6 bright puck lights in the ceiling- as well as the dim switch located just by the head of the bed that sets off the warm strip lights that line the entire perimeter of the van! -The Cab- With a freshly upholstered ceiling, the cab really adds a special touch to van life in Betty. Extra blue headliner is included with the van in case you want to make any additions or upholstery! The teal velvet captain chairs make long trips feel cozy, and can even rotate when you arrive to your destination, becoming a lounge chair in just a few seconds. The dash is nice and carpeted, and there are two large cup holders in the unit between the driver and passenger seat. Even the cab has little touches of storage, with side pockets on each door and book storage on the ceiling. Both the regular windows and pop out windows make for a breezy drive. -Exterior- Betty has the most gorgeous paint job, with a beautiful shine and small stripe details to really tie all the shades of blue seamlessly together. On the back there's a sturdy ladder allowing access to the roof and solar panels up top, as well as a spare tire with a cute white leather cover. I haven't had any major issues with the engine, and the transmission was just replaced - including a 3 year warranty. The Bridgestone tires make driving on dirt roads a breeze and most every trip nice and smooth. They still have great traction and can deal with wet roads with no issues. Overall, the exterior is in great condition! For all maintenance history, see the list below. -The Kitchen- The kitchen unit contains six deep drawers on soft close glides painted with light blue enamel that is easy to wipe clean. Under the sink there is a small compartment with a door that clicks into place and a faux door where the sink basin is. There are two faucets above the 18 gauge stainless steel sink, one is for filtered water and the other is for hand washing dishes etc, operated by a foot valve on the bottom right of the kitchen console. This is not a foot pump, the water is pressurized by a 12v pump in-line from the tanks. This is a valve to start and stop the flow of water hands-free reducing total water use. The gas range has two burners that are adjusted with knobs in the back and must be lit with a lighter. Beneath the stove there is a shutoff valve to prevent leaks when away from the van for extended periods of time. The counter is epoxy resin with inlaid ferns from an Arizonan grotto. The backsplash is polished galvanized steel that is a safe heat reflector and easy to clean. -Electrical System- Betty Blue has 320 Watts of Renogy solar on her custom welded roof rack powering all electronics onboard. The "brain" of her electronics is located behind the drivers seat. Packed into a small space is a VMAX 125 ah AGM battery that does not off-gas or need maintenance. It is grounded to the chassis. A 30amp Epever charge controller monitors solar input and battery state of charge, instructions included. An Ampeak 1000 Watt inverter is mounted plugs-side out for using any appliances on the counter and one extension is run to a double outlet on the bedside table. All electronics are run through a marine fuse box located next to the battery. -Propane and Diesel Heater- Accessed from the rear doors is an airtight propane tank holding box with a safety air release to the outdoor air. The 5 gallon tank is included with the purchase of the van. A 12 ft hose with inline pressure regulator is attached and runs to the gas range. The Diesel heater is located under the bed and is controlled by a remote mounted above the bedside table. It does not function properly all of the time but we haven't had time to trouble-shoot it. Pumps out hot air when functioning and is a relatively cheap replacement if needed. The diesel tank is located next to the propane box and can hold 3 gallons. -Water- Betty has 20 gallons of water holding capacity in two securely mounted 10 gallon tanks. They are air-vented and filled via a garden hose attachment above the diesel tank in the back of the van. A 12v pump pushes the water upstream to a filter and then the faucets. -The Garage- In Betty's "garage" there is also a large storage box on under mount glides that can hold 100 pounds of weight in camping gear, tools etc. and a large space on the right hand side for whatever else. The left side is The propane, water and diesel fill area. ~Includes~ Two 160 watt solar panels Maxxfan Deluxe Model 5100K Bayite BYT-7A102 Diaphragm Water Pump DC 12V Fridge with Ice Tray VMAX 125 AH AGM Battery 5 gallon propane tank 30 amp Epever charge controller 1000 Watt Ampeak inverter ~Maintenance History~ 8/9/19 transmission mount replaced, steer box replaced, spark plugs replaced 10/15/19 gas pump and filter replaced 6/10/20 battery rewired 6/1/21 transmission replaced 7/15/21 power steering replaced, starter replaced, alternator replaced *regular oil changes as well Download the Motors app
