Vehicle description

1989 Chevrolet Full Size Blazer with 5.7L 350ci V8 and Automatic Transmission
This Blazer is rust free and is just about as stock as you can get.
I have put this as an auction style with a reserve much less than I see Blazers that aren"t as clean as mine listed on here for.
This is a very clean Blazer. I have owned it for 3-4 years. There is no rust inside or out. Originally purchased and restored for my son to drive, he opted for a sports car instead (better on mileage I guess). Anyways, I"m just not driving it enough and it deserves to be driven and I refuse to let it just sit. So I am going to go ahead and get rid of it. I have used this as a daily driver several times throughout the years that I have owned it when I needed to and it could be used in that manner right now. It can be driven to anywhere in the country if you"d like to fly in and pick it up, I have full confidence in it going anywhere for as long as you need it to. This vehicle runs, drives, shifts and feels great.
When I purchased it, it was running but had some brake issues along with needing steering and suspension repairs, all minor, but trust me they add up. I had everything gone through by a local shop right after I bought it and as far as anything drivability / mechanically if it needed it they fixed or replaced it. We did AC work, rebuilt the HVAC case, replaced compressor along with other AC components, several steering and suspension components as well as front and rear brakes. Also the column was removed and rebuilt, it is as tight as it can be. The throttle body was removed and rebuilt as well. We gutted the interior and put POR-15 on the floor pans (there was no rust at all, I have pics of this process being done, we just wanted to protect it moving forward), spray in bed liner on top of the POR-15 and then Dynamat on most of the floor throughout the front and rear of the cab along with new carpet. We had the seats covered and two toned in cloth by a local trim shop, they also covered the rear quarter panels, did the headliner and I think the visors. Put in a new windshield and all new rubber gaskets around the doors, the top, the windshield and the tailgate. The tires and rims are off of a 1998 Chevy Tahoe Z-71 Edition, they are stock GM wheels but I had to have them bored out to fit the hubs and I"m running spacers on the front and the rear (can"t remember what size, I think 1" on the front and 2" on the rear but not sure). The only other thing that is not stock is the radio slot has been cut and an aftermarket is sitting in there, there are NO speakers in the vehicle whatsoever, the radio is hooked up but all speakers were removed, that was going to be the next project but just haven"t gotten around to it so it is a blank canvas for someone as far as the stereo system goes. The back glass works with key and with switch. All the power windows and locks work. Cruise control works. The only think I can think of that doesn"t work is the windshield washer, which may spray, as in the pump may work, but I never got around to replacing the hoses hooked to the wipers. Windshield wipers work like they should. There are no leaks around the top, after we replaced all the gaskets and weather-strips on the top I have checked after several rains that it was outside in and there has been no sign of moisture inside at all. As far as I can tell there never has been. The top has not been removed since the new weather-strips were installed. When we gutted the interior there was a small tear, approximately 1" long, in the metal at one bolt attachment of the inside rear of each front seat (as in one per seat, so two spots in entire floor). We had these places welded and reinforced with steel plating, you should be able to see in some of the under-carriage pics where it is painted over in black undercoating, again there was no rust, the metal had started to tear due to age and weight I guess, but no rust. Unfortunately we had a hail storm a couple months ago and there are a couple of dings on the hood that you can"t see in the pictures, just being up front cause even when I try to take pictures of the couple spots you can"t really see it in the pics just want you to know they are there cause when you are driving and really look down the hood you can spot them. It seems like there is one small scratch in the silver somewhere, I have a picture of it if you"d like to see it I just can"t remember where on the truck it is at. The fiberglass top, along the bottom under the windows on both sides, has some spots where it looks like it may have been scratched at one time, or rubbed against something, we coated and painted it and don"t have any concerns of leaking or breaking down or anything light that, you can just see it, and again I"m trying to be as forthright as I can with the listing, and again it is something that isn"t easy to see in pics unless they are a lot closer, I will provide pics of this if you would like before you bid. The paint you see are the factory OEM original colors of the Blazer. I have pictures of it before we started the project, through the process and as you see it the finished project. If you"d like more pictures or specific pictures just ask and I"ll get them to you as quick as I can. I purposefully did not allow anyone to touch under the hood since I have owned the vehicle, what you see in those last couple of pics is exactly how it was when I purchased it 3 or 4 years ago, and how it is today. I didn"t want anyone to think at any time I was trying to hide anything in the engine bay or under the vehicle when they purchase it, it is as original as it can be. The new owner is welcome to have it detailed if they"d like, I just wanted it to be as original and honest as I could make it. I am the 3rd owner of the Blazer, the last owner told me he had had it since the mid 90"s. I believe the odometer has rolled over but honestly I"m not sure as clean as it is underneath and the engine compartment it may not have, you can judge for yourself. I have not gone into any of the drivetrain as since I"ve owned it, it just hasn"t needed it, so as far as I know the engine, transmission, transfer case and all differentials are all original, but as I said in the beginning it runs, drives, shifts as good as it can so I never saw the point in spending the extra money on it. Please don"t hesitate to ask me any questions, I will answer as quickly as I can.
