Thanks in advance for reviewing my 1989 Corvette. This is an exceptionally clean, well running Corvette. I purchased for my wife as an anniversary/birthday present, but we have another going to college and she does not drive it often enough. This car is still in it"s original state with stock exhaust and has been "unmolested" and is not modified. The car only has 30,000+ miles and I believe I am the third owner after the second owner had the car for 18 years. I replaced the water pump and serpentine belt. Original exhaust in good condition, original wheels in decent condition. There are a few very minor cosmetic issues with the car that I tried to post in the pictures: A small scratch in the seat back A scratch in the convertible deck lid that can be felt with a fingernail A bit of rust showing between the steel hinged gas cap cover and the plastic cover
What the car needs: The original Delco-Bose system is partially working. This is a known problem area for these cars and replacement units are no longer available but can be repaired (most owners seem to replace). I didn"t want to switch it out as the next owner may want to preserve the originality The tires are Z rated Michelin Pilot Sports and have plenty of tread, but are old and show some signs of dry rot. Fine for around town low speed errands, but should be replaced before any long drive.
Power seats work fine Air blows cold All gauges work as should Previous owner replaced fuel injectors Dependable classic that is expected to appreciate in the next few years I don"t believe there is a better performance value in the classic market Handles like a go cart, but has a comfortable ride
They only made 9,749 convertibles and only 2,206 were white.
