Vehicle description

About this vehicle This 1988 Chevrolet Blazer is a project vehicle. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle needs work and is not regularly driven. Seller"s Notes See description Vehicle Details Okay. Going to do my best here, but bear with me because I'm not entirely educated on what I'm describing. Selling an 88 Chevrolet K5 Blazer 4WD with a clean title. Could make a great project for someone with a little know-how. It runs and can drive around the block (at least) but definitely would need trailered to its next home. It has new spark plugs and a few other things (I can take additional pics of whatever you like). The rear window is currently down (discovered to my chagrin that the power works to roll it down but apparently doesn't work to roll it back up so I'm currently covering it with a tarp). I have an extra rear bench from my 89 that I can include with it as well. "What had happened was. . " I bought it because I've had an 89 Blazer for over 10 years that was already drivable and pretty much "baked" when I bought her. I love my 89 and I bought this K5 as a project because my older brother was really knowledgeable and helped me work on my own truck, and we were going to fix up the K5 as a long term project (and understand when I say "he helped me work on my own truck" what that *really* means is I was on standby with tools, the light and keen moral support while he did 93% of the work himself) :) So the sob story goes, my brother passed away unexpectedly recently and I honestly just don't have the ability (or desire, really) to attempt this overhaul on my own. I took it to a local shop for spark plugs and a general "tune-up" and it cost me over $2k! Now how much of that $2k falls into the "this is a hunk of crap that legit took a ton of work" and how much was "hey, I bet we can overcharge her because she doesn't know any better," who's to say, but I know I can't/won't put anymore into this thing. Would love to get a decent price, but also hate to see this K5 waste away any more than it already has, so selling without a reserve. Truck is located in Central Florida near Gainesville.
