Vehicle description
This is a SUPER clean VW Vanagon Country Homes Camper that has been meticulously maintained. It is a California van with no rust. I am the second owner. The original owners moved to Los Osos, CA specifically so that GoWesty could maintain the vehicle, which they did for many years. GW even installed the GW 2.3L waterboxer engine in 2010 and it only has 50,000 miles on it today. Upon purchasing the van in 2016, I had the manual transmission replaced with a rebuilt GW one and it only has 15,000 miles on it. I have an impressive stack of maintenance records.
The van has been on the east coast (almost exclusively in Vermont) for about 2 years. I’ve winterized it each winter and it’s never seen a salty road. It’s a very nice van and is mechanically sound. It runs and drives like a dream. All of the camping equipment is in very good shape (stove, fridge (which runs of off aux battery), pop top, queen size bed, table). The pop top canvas is also in very good condition as is all interior upholstery. The only issues are a small ding over the rear passenger side tire from the previous owner and thanks to all that CA sun, the clear coat is peeling in some places. Overall, this is a true gem.
The details:
-2.3L GW engine (with 50,000 miles)
