Vehicle description
1987 Volkswagen Westfalia Vanagon Camper, aka "Rosie". Used to be my daily driver and she"s been on plenty of road trips. She needs some TLC but I"ve done quite a few upgrades and replacements including: 2.2 L Subaru engine rebuilt transmission new fuel pump new heater core new brakes and wheel bearings all around, 16 in. Mercedes rims, Go Westy 1.5 inch lift kit, BFG All Terrain Radial TAs, extra heavy duty Bilstein shocks Go Westy plate steel bumper set w/ 2 inch hitch in the front and the rear auxillary battery kit, 50 amp hour auxillary battery, Pro Sport dual bank battery maintainer JVC stereo with Boston acoustic component speakers, Kenwood subwoofer solar charge controller new sky light kit, new water hook up, new sink pump and faucet, new propane tank, new pop top canvas, rain fly
Fun extras I"ll throw in: a 100 watt folding solar panel with case, gray Add A Room shelter for the rear hatch, sliding door screen, Go Westy travel mugs and over the sink cutting board, hand made magnetic screens for the front door windows
I also have a panel for the driver side where there"s rusting, a front grill replacement, and a rear wiper assembly. I just never found the time to replace these things.
Things of note: the fridge is a Norcold brand and works like a champ but is 12 volt only. The tear in the new canvas can be easily patched. The AC does not work. Mildew on the ceiling of the pop top can be cleaned if that sort of thing concerns you. Original awning at the slider door is in good shape and works just fine.
Email me if you have questions or if you need more pictures, thanks for your consideration!
