Vehicle description
1987 Buick Grand National
My effort on the vehicle has stalled and can no longer finish it. Next steps for the vehicle to restore it proper would be to fix a few small dents on the roof and two small rust spots on the windshield pillars, replace some of the bumper fillers, paint it and put back together. The engine wass rebuilt less than 10k miles ago and runs excellent (I have a video I can send).
This car was originally bought by my uncle in 1987, he had the engine rebuilt (bored out 30 over), the exhaust downpipe has an outlet to open the headers, turbo has adjustable boost, the injectors have been customized, turbo replaced, computer has been chipped and there was a switch installed to make the transmission shift (though this will need to be investigated).
I "inherited" the vehicle and had it garaged as I gathered all the parts needed to restore it. I"ve gotten to a point where I have 99% of the parts which include the following: headliner, carpet, seats, visors, dashboard, rear bumper, elec. window motors, dash deck, door and trunk rubber weatherstrippings, steering wheel, some bumper fillers, etc. I have put new tires, performance springs and shocks, starter and exhaust in the car.
Only other thing is the brakes need to be bled properly - other than that it is a real survivor. I had the floor boards ground down and professionally painted. The car is being sold as is - I hate to let it go but I just can"t finish it as I now live in FL (the car is in CT in my mothers garage). Once you win the auction, I will be heading to CT and will work with you to coordinate shipping (you will be responsible for the cost to ship).
Any further questions let me know - good luck
