1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce 5-speed, Alfa Red, tan leather - 85,372 miles All original - never painted, no rust. Always garage kept. Second owner.
Reason for selling - kids are driving now, and the driveway is too crowded to get it out of the garage.
This car is in very good original condition. Great patina for a 32-year-old Alfa. There are a few dings and some paint chips on the nose, but otherwise the paint is in great condition. Original cloth top in great condition. Window is clear. Original top boot. Dash is clean with no cracks. All original manuals plus several shop manuals The car has been well maintained and is in very good mechanical condition. It sat for a few years but has been brought back up to be a solid driver.
The Good In the last 200 miles, the following work has been completed: New clutch pivot pin New clutch hydraulics (master, slave and flex pipe) New fuel system (tank removed and flushed, new main and in-tank pumps, new filters, injector rail and injectors completely rebuilt by OK Injectors, new sender and float, all new lines) New head gasket (head ultrasonically cleaned and de-carbonized, skimmed and flow tested) New high capacity radiator and hoses New motor and transmission mounts New deep cycle, marine rated battery Lots of little stuff Kept most of the old components for spares The bad Suspension bushings are a little tired. Could use a new set of poly bushings and maybe better shocks Tires are in good condition, but getting a little old A little crunchy going into second gear, otherwise the rest of the transmission shifts well. Might just need another clutch bleed There is a current leak that drains the battery if left parked for too long (several weeks). Should be easy to isolate. Air conditioning belt not installed, so I don"t know the status of the air conditioning PO installed a killer stereo with large sub-woofer behind the seats. Great sound, but doesn"t really fit a car like this PO installed 4 point racing harnesses, which left some holes where the original seat belt guides were. One quarter size ding beneath the car near the front, passenger"s side jack point. Should be repaired so rust doesn"t start I"ve tried to describe the car as honestly as I can. Please feel free to ask questions if you need additional information. Buyer is responsible for pick up or other means of transportation Located in Maryland.
