Vehicle description
Very nice 1986 Buick Grand National w 76XXX I have owned this car since 2010 and at that point it was repainted and body work done correctly (there are many pictures during the restoration that will go with car showing process).I will have some normal markings and wear of a 9 year paint job. I made the mistake of purchasing fiberglass bumper fillers and those are rubbing a bit as you can see in pictures. The paint shines amazingly and the car is straight. Often a show winner.
During restoration many NOS parts were used. DASH. 9 HOLE Hood insulation. Grille. and all NOS wheels.
The interior is decent. No rips or tears on carpeting or seats. Minor stitching coming apart on dash (small) Dash and seats do show some fade and the carpet as well but still very presentable. The owner before me put an non correct headliner and visors on that I had planned to redo but never got around to it.
The car has been professionally mechanically maintained by Bruce and Aggressive Auto Performance here in Michigan. The Turbo is new about two years ago. Has down pipe with dump and a nice stainless exhaust. The car is equipped with a scan master currently running no codes. Has 93 OctaneTurbo Tweak chip and tuned well. Aggressive Auto states car, with current set up is about a 400 HP car. Car runs well and drives nice.
IF you get a carfax it will show it was in an accident well before I owned the car. : During the restoration process the frame was stretched correctly.
Issues worth mentioning.
-AC does not blow cold. -There is a slow oil leak in the rear main seal. Per Aggressive Auto not in need of fixing since its minor - as mentioned the headliner and visors are not correct. They are fine but just not my taste or GN correct. - The interior door panels are from a T-Type Regal. The original doors for this car were rusted out with bad interior panels so these doors were just put on from a low mileage T-Type. So the windows are crank. So not GN correct. - there seams to be some light bulbs out on the dash. The turbo lights do night light up event though the Turbo functions fine as it has less than 2k miles on it. -I believe the lock on the trunk needs some work. The key is not turning the lock. IT opens fine from the inside button - There is no glove box arm so the door opens all the way. -The fiberglass bumper filler has rubbed on driver side. -the mirror adjuster needs to be riveted in on driver side. -The passenger side hood shock needs to be replace. Hood easily comes down
* *nothing above takes away from the nice drive and great look of this car.
Bonus worth mentioning
-newer 44 MM Turbo -great paint job and correctly done body work. Always complimented as one of the nicest appearing Grand Nationals around. -the radio is an original AC delco with an ipod adapter
Buyer to arrange all shipping details and costs associated. Car and title will NOT be released until funds clear my banks. 500 deposit due within 24 hours of purchase. Car is listed outside Ebay as well and could end at any time. Car is as is so I highly recommend inspection of the car to ensure you are completely satisfied with this GN.
I am not in a rush or bind to sell this car. Only selling to make room for another toy.
