Vehicle Details Im hoping my trip into the replica world will help ya with the plusses and minuses. Like alot of you reading this ad, I grew up in the 80s with the magnum 308 poster on my wall, owning one one day my goal. .later in life I got a 1981fuel injected 308. .what a dissapointing piece of crap it turned out to be. .count on spending 5k a year on maintaince. .but its a ferrari, so you have to expect that. .the thing is though, spending that amount of money didnt guarentee it would be safe to drive out of the 200 mile AAA towing range. . a honda accord was faster. .BUT, it was so beautifull. . so I decided to sell it and buy a replica based on a fiero. .like all fiero owners, I wished it had a bit more power. .the other thing was that like almost every replica you will find, it still had the lotus based fiero interior. . just cheap looking and a dead giveaway for a replica. . so I again sold it and waited untill this one came up. .It has the 3k PISA /Ferrari interior installed, which besides the cost is insanely hard to install. . but it has the original ferrari look and feel. I had intended to have it all dyed black, but the red didnt look so guady when it arrived. .so I left it. .it also has a supercharged 3.8 from a 1993 pontiac bonneville, giving it some much needed performance. .I have no idea how many miles are on the engine, but it doesnt smoke, leak oil, overheat, has great oil pressure, and has that ferrari sound. the 5spd works great. .the tires have less than 50 miles on them as I never drive this car. .I would trust driving this car anywhere and it absolutely could be a daily driver. .the lights and windows go up and down slowly more from lack of use. .Ive never driven the car at night and put the windows down a handfull of times. .IT HAS NO AC. .the tach works. .the speedo doesnt. the undercarriage isnt all rusted through. .surface rust from being stored at the beach. .it gets insane attention whenever its taken out. .which is why I never drive it frankly. .the paint has one minute chip on top of drivers door. .no road chips behind tires. (it has to be driven to get those ha ha). .the paint is about as perfect as your going to find. .when all is said and done, this is still a 35 year old car though. .someone spent a ton of money to get it right. .at 70 years old and this downsizing move to texas, I no longer the luxury of time and space to keep my cars. .so they are all going. . the car is going to need a battery. .again from not being used. .I can charge it enough to start, but its time is almost up. It was pointed out that the tires are on the wrong side. .who knows. the passenger side window switch is missing but the window works fine. .I just touched the two wires together. .I bought two nicer ones years ago and will look for them. they are about 20 bucks each on ebay. it has an awesome sound system. .I listed this about a year ago, but the buyer didnt pay. .so before you think about bidding on the car,,,please have enough money not just for the car BUT FOR THE SHIPPING COSTS. .the car is now located near corpus christie texas. . in the middle of nowhere. .so shipping is going to be pricey given the recent uptick in the price of gas. . .so price that first. .its a great car that desperately needs to be driven. .it has a south carolina fiero title, so check with your DMV to make sure its ok. .it is. .insurance is dirt cheap. .Im a computer and phone idiot, so please dont ask for videos etc. .Im also going to be listing my 1959 austin healey thats in boxes but has a nice frame. a 1976 Triumph TR6 and a 1997 aston martin DB7. . all suffering from lack of use but very nice. .give them a look see. good luck bidding and again, please dont make me have to go through the hasell of relisting. .also, the ferrari daytona in one of the pics has been sold. .
