This car is very quick and h andling is superb! A beautiful Candy Apple Red color from House Of Kolor Kandy Paint. Custom leather seats. Perfect for drives along PCH! Custom built using k it manufacturer Thunder Ranch of El Cajon, CA. F ull powder coated tubular frame . Not a shortened VW chassis . Uni-body type construction. Floor is fiberglass and incorporated into the body unit. Independent rear suspension (IRS). 911 Fan Shroud By Thunder Ranch With Bernie Bergman Fan. "Bee Hive" tail lights. Disc brakes on front and rear. Includes: Tan Soft Top With Side Curtains (currently installed on car) Removable Hard Top* (Does not currently fit correct. Needs to be adjusted to fit properly) Full Forneau cover (needs to be installed) Spare Tire *Tops are interchangeable . The bow for the soft top has to be unbolted for the hard top to be placed. A very simple procedure. Notes from the builder: Custom built 2276 cc e ngine. Bernie Bergman 911 Fan w/ Thunder Ranch 911 fan shroud, aluminum EMPI domed top reinforced case, 82 MM Stroker crank (5 Dowel Pin, Counter Balanced), 94 MM Mahle pistons & cylinders, "H" Beam Rods, Engle W-120 Cam, ported heads w/ large stainless steel valves, electronic ignition, dual 44 EMPI HPMX carbs, external oil cooler, external oil filter ("Spin Off" Type), ceramic coated tuned exhaust. C eramic coated heater boxes and muffler. Innovative AFR digital gauge with wideband sensor for fine tuning (instructions included). Custom built reinforced transaxle. Louvers in rear engine compartment lid. Adjustable rear torsion spring plates. "Dyna Mat Extreme" used to line the interior body for sound deadening. Estimated 180-190 HP. The VIN is from a salvaged 1974 VW vehicle chassis. (Thunder Ranch uses rear forks (With VIN #) that support the transaxle from a VW and incorporates the part into the fiberglass body. This is the only part that Thunder Ranch uses from a doner car.) This car is currently registered in California as a Special Construction vehicle with year 0000. The title does still state it is a salvage vehicle therefore has a pink registration. This car has also been registered in Colorado and in Washington.
