About this vehicle This 1984 Volkswagen Scirocco is an original. The owner has had it for 3 years. The vehicle runs great and is mainly used for weekend drives. Seller"s Notes 117000 miles manual transmission Vehicle Details 1984 scirocco in great original shape. The previous owner spent about 4000 going through all the wear and tear items getting this in great running shape. The work was done in 2013 at 110000 miles and he put on about 6000 miles before I bought it in 2018 and have only put less than 1000 on it since then. I’ve included the paperwork he gave me of the work because the list is so long. They include brake master cylinder, exhaust, timing chain, oil leaks, suspension, shocks, new tires and a set of aftermarket wheels are on it now. The only issues I can think of are the heater is not hooked up right now. When you plug it in it runs but won’t shut off unless you unplug it. I’ve only run it in the summer so I didn’t bother with it. Also there is an intermittent oil pressure light that comes on. I’ve had my mechanic check it out and he said the pressure is fine and thinks it’s one of a couple faulty sensors or the oil filter setting it off. Didn’t go off last year and was waiting till it did to bring it in again so I s just been waiting. May be fine now but I just wanted to include that as well. There is some of the clear coat coming off on the roof but other than that the paint is in great shape. Everything looks to be original and basically rust free. The interior is in amazing shape and the only issue is the dash has a few cracks from the sun. Don’t think I’ve seen any without them though. Probably the best handling and funest cars I’ve driven but getting too small for my expanding family. This car also is one of the few that didn’t come with a sunroof so you here few extra inches of headroom. I’m 6’3” and have no issues. I also have the original keys and owners manual. I don’t have the title just a bill of sale and previous registration will be included. Maine doesn’t require titles so I never bothered applying for one.
