Vehicle description
*1984 Volkswagen - Vanagon GL Westfalia - 1.9L, H4*
This is Hans der Wagen. He is a 1984 Westfalia Volkswagen Vanagon and your new best friend.
My husband and I love road trips and camping more than anything in the world. So when we met Hans last summer, we felt like it was a match made in heaven. With a functioning kitchen, two beds, and the most stylish exterior of any van this side of Scooby Doo, he"s a real catch. What"s more, we"ve been spending the last eight months or so getting him all spruced up and ready for action.
Hans is now rust-free with new brake lines, rear wheel cylinders, master cylinders, and a new radiator. Most importantly, he has a brand new Volkswagen engine - a pretty rare find in a restored Westy.
Unfortunately (sort of), we just found out that we are moving to Lyon, France for the foreseeable future. And it turns out you can"t get there by camper.
So, we are putting Hans up for sale for the price we purchased him plus the amount we"ve put into him. We"re not trying to turn a profit here, just trying to break even and get him in good hands. He really is in great condition and is so much fun to take out on trips or just to drive around. We"d love for him to go to someone who will get as much joy out of him as we have.
Please let me know if you"re interested or have any questions!
