Datsun Z-Series. 1983 Nissan/Datsun 280zx T-tops AZ car No rustRuns good, passes Arizona vehicle emissions Does not run hot, even in the valley summers AC always works and has been retrofitted with 134a freon 3rd owner has owned this car for more than 25 years as a daily driver All mechanical work in the last 12 years has been done by a professional mechanic that specializes in Datsuns With 400k mile, the car has had at least one of everything and more of others, like the engine, transmission, and differential, are not original, each have been replaced individually when needed with used units, mileage unknown Engine has a little oil smoke out the tailpipe at startup The transmission is a Borg Warner T5, out of a 280zx turbo, Drive line was rebuilt, machined and fitted with replaceable u-joints Recent optical electronic ignition installed, and full tune with plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Recent Rebuilt mass air flow sensor, injectors and injector harness plugs tires are good, brakes are good The interior not perfect, seats are ok, only one small tear, needs carpet Paint is faded and clear coat is peeling on upper surfaces from AZ sun, has a few dents This car is not perfect, but it would be a perfect project because it is complete With minimum help this car can be driven as is Needs differential mount, it thumps when letting out the clutch and during shifts
