Blazer has a remanufactured 350 with less than 500 miles, 700R transmission, new 3 row all aluminum radiator, starter, alternator, water pump, thermostat, new brakes all around, and complete new A/C system. Seats have been recovered, new carpet, dash is cracked but has a matching color cover on it, new instrument bezel. Electric working rear window. New ball joints. 4x4 works, drives nicely. New a/t tires that still have the blue on the letters. Previous owner said that the paint and sheet metal were original, but cannot confirm. Few light scratches in the paint that would probably buff out, has a small dent above the rear wheel, and a 12 inch deep scratch that has been touched up but still visible. No rust in the floor boards or body. Really nice driver quality blazer.
Like all 35 year old vehicles it’s not perfect, I’ve enjoyed it but recently bought a Z28. The temp gauge in the dash was reading high so I installed an aftermarket below the dash. It still seemed warm at idle so I took a reading with a laser gauge and the aftermarket is reading high too. . idles195-200 reading at the upper hose, and about 175-180 at the lower hose. Aftermarket will read about 220-230.
